CauldStream, I think at the time of the last readout on the P3 trials it was recognised that the American patients undergoing the trials had good healthcare support prior to recruitment. The majority in Mauritius had non until they fell under the 'care of the trial'.
As for the next P3 trial design the points reduction on the SLEDAI will imo be pivotal to whether it is a success or not. They set the 'bar too high'

Taverham. I expect the next RNS will be telling shareholders that the transfer of the shares has been completed and GEO now own the entire company and assets. AMER no longer exists. Transfer of monies for those shares will probably be made in the next couple of weeks.

The boards of Amerisur and GeoPark are pleased to announce that the Court has today sanctioned the scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006 (the "Scheme") by which the recommended cash acquisition pursuant to which GeoPark Colombia, a wholly owned subsidiary of GeoPark, will acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Amerisur (the "Transaction") is being implemented. The Scheme will become Effective on the Effective Date, which is stated in the Court Order as 16 January 2020 and is when the Court Order is expected to be delivered to the Registrar of Companies. A further announcement will be made when the Scheme becomes Effective.
The Scheme Record Time for the Scheme will be 6.00 p.m. on 15 January 2020 and all Scheme Shares in issue at that time will be subject to the Scheme.
Next steps
It is expected that dealings in Amerisur Shares on AIM will be suspended with effect from 7.30 a.m. on 16 January 2020 and, subject to the Scheme becoming effective later that day, the admission to trading of Amerisur Shares on AIM will be cancelled with effect from 7.00 a.m. on 17 January 2020. It is also expected that the consideration payable to Scheme Shareholders will be paid by GeoPark Colombia within 14 days of the Scheme becoming Effective.

I know share schemes are perfectly normal as salary awards. Doesn’t make it right though. Many company directors have awarded themselves shares for performance only for the company to go bust the same year
PPI was accepted as perfectly normal throughout the 80s and 90s. It can be open to abuse and in some circumstances a conflict of interest.

What’s the point of a share buyback strategy only to dilute the number of shares. Investors money used to prop up the share price to reward the holders who have zero risk in being given shares.

I think you will find that news leaks happen on all of the markets. The only traders caught with their pant's down are the private investors.

Mav, difficult to determine red or blue with the current spread. I noticed 2 x blocks of 500k being traded first thing this morning with several 200K trades. I think the institutions will be happy if they can trade within the 19p- 18.5p range. Been invested over a year in this company and have to say it is one of the best examples of share manipulation I have had witnessed. I decided to invest when I thought RH was almost out hoping that the manipulation would come to an end. However, the opposite happened. The ratio to A trades to O trades must have been at least 5:1
Frustrating thing is the shares on my watch list that I had invested my time researching have at least doubled and one of them multi-bagged.
You can only make decisions based on your research and the information you are being fed from the BoD's. In this case they have failed to deliver on every front. They could not negotiate from a position of strength and misled investors by telling them to do nothing with their shares when the current sp was above a level that they knew wouldn't be achieved through negotiation.
Would not surprise me if a deal has already been cut between prospective bidders post sale. They know that any allegation of corruption cannot be followed up post AMER but this is the world of business we choose to invest in.

Hi Boom, fine thank you. Hope all is well your end too.
Portfolio locked up in administration as I moved to online dealing away from the old fashioned paper and pigeon. Not many months later SVS went under along with my ability to buy and sell. Not all lost though, the shares will be transfer to another broker in the very near future.
I have to say, I do drop by here on an almost daily basis and sometimes (like yesterday) I feel the need to post.
I know a few of the regulars here have differing opinions, but their resolve, research and contribution is to be admired. We don't always get things right but that what makes this forum a valuable research tool is discussing the differing opinions or understanding of the science.
A few on here sometimes let their ego's get the better of them and forget why they are here. That's said, no cause more noble than investing in companies that are developing science that will benefit is all, whether that is directly or indirectly.
I support my charities by giving up my time and donations when I can but my capital investment is made in order to return a profit.

Mav, understandable selling as everyone has an opinion and their own personal circumstances are different. Experience doesn't come into it though when you seize the opportunity to ramp another company in the same post as announcing you selling. Free country and all that but some people have no class.

My thoughts are that if this stitch up gets voted down then GEO would make the deal more attractive and add a few million to take it over the 20% phycological level that most investors were hoping for. What we have seen so far is all part of the game in my opinion. GEO and our BoD's are hoping that they can get away with this derisory offer.
Makes you wonder why the last deal was thrown out without consideration? Only 10% above that level. My guess is GEO are 'more willing to work with the directors' The palms of their hands must resemble a Teflon frying pan!!

Makes sense, especially with the tight spread. (not a euphemism Margaret) Ant rumour or whiff off news and you could walk away with a good profit. Was thinking of doing the same. They cannot drop it too low though as that sentiment will increase and GEO will not be able to buy at such a generous discount.
