HappyInvestor, I agree. Market sentiment is what I'm really alluding to. Oil stocks are Banking stocks are the obvious losers in this environment and look oversold but if and well a selloff occurs all rationale will be ignored.
I have been sitting on cash and not investing since March with the odd trade. DTG for one and MARS. Both trades have added to my funds that I will be using to 'cherry pick' my investments when I feel the time is right.

I have been sitting on cash now since March. Looking at picking up good recovery shares not post Covid (if there is ever such a thing) but post US elections. If I was currently holding then this is the question I will be asking myself. 'Has the world indices dropped to a level that truly reflects this pandemic?' My view FWIW is no.
BP of course is trading at historical lows, will the catalyst for a market correction be the US election outcome? If so, no matter how cheap BP looks now will it get caught up in the sell off.

Doug, this years high price prior to the country going into lockdown back in March was 255p, falling to 211 on or around the 23rd March. It never regained the years high even though figures for online shopping was good. I am not saying a full lockdown again will not be good for TSCO share holders but back to 255p and above? Not so sure.

I don’t think Biden is necessarily bad either. I think any challenge to the result will be. If the US starts to favour Green energy then that will fit nicely into BPs strategy.

Not read the thread but I guess it was in relation to the post presidential election. I have had the odd trade since the so called lockdown in March.
My strategy has always to be sit on cash until the election is done and dusted. May be wrong but I think Biden will win followed by a call of foul play by Trump.
Pumping money into the indexes in the US has not allowed the market to adjust accordingly with the Pandemic.
I can see a big adjustment and of course the knock on affect of that adjustment.
Time will tell of course .

It will go in the direction these AT's want to take it in the absence of volume. 40p seems to be the support but they may take it lower to close out the 2% shorts prior to the P1 CMA report. I think predicting prices at the moment is a complete waste of energy as we don't know what the end game is with this pandemic. We may have to live with it but confidence will return in the hospitality industry and the sp will follow.

Maybe a larger sell order to work through

The opening AT was a UT and skewed the actual share price. It was a broker balancing their books before the day's trading.

It is when an analyst or broker believes that the target price is absolutely correct.

sk, good morning. Only started to look at IMM with any interest in the last week and most of my info is from the run up to the previous trial. That said, I do understand the process of how the FDA agree the trial design. I assumed the data from the last trials would automatically allow the trial to go straight to P3 so I do now understand why some posters are anxious.
I just cannot see the MC achieving 50m as any agreed trial will have to go through the recruitment stage and will be many moths off. I know the trial will be fully funded but there is also the concern for investors that IMM may need to raise cash as 2023 approaches. I am sure that will not be a problem for IMM but no investors like uncertainty.
This is my only reason for holding off and sitting out of the markets entirely until we have the US election done and dusted but have to admit the high chance of an uplift in the sp is tempting when approval is given.
Rambling on a bit but just my thoughts. As you know the road to the last trial was a very long one for the both of us and I don't know if I have the motivation or energy to do the same again. The RvR is very good for those invested so whatever the sp does I'm sure it will be good for those invested at the current price.

I should add that it can only get rejected if IMM inform the CDER that it cannot meet their requirements from the outset and IMM already know the readout data from the previous trials.
As I have posted before, I do think approval will be given, yes it will give the sp a short term boost but not to a level where the company has a MC of 50m as some posters have suggested. Good luck and all the best if it does but when the day traders have had their quick profit it will consolidate and drift unless there are other developments outside of Lupuzor.

The FDA is completely independent of any drug company and you can search their database to see the application and whether or not it has passed, failed or still at the application stage.
The purpose of the SPA is about consultation on the design of the trial, what is required for it to be deemed a success.
IMM may have their own idea on what should be achieved, it may or may not meet CDERs so the trial design would he changed accordingly.

Pop up Pubs need suppliers and the microbrewers fit nicely into that market.
I travel quite often to the U.K from France and every time I go to my home town there is a new pub in an old shop premises. I bet if I spoke to the landlord of the large Yates pub then he would have more concerns about how that is impacting his footfall rather than the JV of two major brewers.
I suppose your opinion and mine are very similar to the discussions the CMA are having.
Quite recently the CMA blocked a partnership between Asda and Sainsbury’s. Now we have Lidl and Aldi taking up market share and Asda gets sold iff to EG that give store space to exclusive bakers, fast food chain and coffee retailers.
Sainsbury’s a U.K. business is left out in the cold and losing ground to the likes of the co op and Aldi.

By the way, not a current share holder but have held in the past but still look in. I feel my view is as a neutral but Marstons has to evolve in order to survive. To block any JV will not be good for the sector. All it will do is give a bigger market share to companies like GK.

Lots of micro pubs opening in Lancashire. All seem to be busy and popular. If and only if your scenario occurs then it would be the JVs that will suffer increasing footfall in the startup pubs with low operating costs.

My understanding is the P1 stage of the CMA investigation will be concluded BY the 21st. So any announcement may come at anytime before then. I also understand from research that they cannot block the JV but delay it until a P2 investigation is conducted.
It is CAMRA that has stuck it's oar in with the following statement 'However, consumer group CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) said today it harbours “serious concerns” about anti-competitive effects of the JV, including “market foreclosure for small brewers, which will reduce choice for beer drinkers and pub-goers”.

“This is why the CMA must make sure that any merger does not stifle fair competition, access to market for brewers,?and ensure decent consumer choice of beer in pubs up and down the country,” CAMRA chief executive Tom Stainer said.'

Surely the CMA will look at this but competition will be stifled anyway with this pandemic and the only way of keeping pubs open and brewers profitable is by cutting costs.

Any sponsor would be crazy to put the FDA under any pressure. Both parties have to agree the size and design of the trial. Special Protocol Assessment follows guidelines from the Center of Drugs and Evaluation and Research (CDER) which is made up of many specialists across the Health Care Profession. The FDA only rubber stamp the SPA.
Although timeframes for investors can be frustrating for investors as it doesn't always follow expectations, the SPA will be approved as it can be modified at any time until both parties agree.
As for the current trend in the share price there is nothing to suggest anyone is bailing out other than private investors chasing rainbows elsewhere. I think in the last few trading days the share price has reversed as trading comes to a close.

We had many disagreements post P3 trial. However, when I read the trial design I decided on my strategy to sell prior to the the results. I think the debate was in how affective it was.
Secondly, I did not agree on the number of patients in Mauritius due to their healthcare and possibility of skewed results.
For what it’s worth, if I had lupus then a small reduction in my pain suffering or symptoms is better than nothing. Lupuzor would be my choice rather than the damaging alternatives.

Likewise score but to be honest I got lucky, only strategy was take the risk of selling prior to P3 taking advantage of the rise leading up to them. That said, I did think the last trials would be a success given the Fast Track status. (If the benefits outweigh the risks) and from previous trials there was not much evidence if any to say Lupuzor was unsafe. I do think the last trial design was wrong with too much ask on the SLEDAI scale in order for it to be deemed a benefit.
