Is the expected special dividend from the Far East sale subject to tax?

Fakeland stated that he will not be posting on here if the sp does not reach 40p today. So I guess ThotTerminator will be speaking on his behalf. So transparent.

I think the markets have priced in the vaccine news but may rise a little on vaccine approval, However, EU talks and Divi news will only lift the sp if that news is positive.

A UT is not a buy or sell but just brokers balancing their books at the end of the trading day. It is sometimes misleading and is rarely the correct price.

Your posts are so immature and almost childlike. We have had 2 RNS today and you cannot put a constructive post together. Only response you ever have to a dropping sp is either added @ or 70p in 2021. Typing DUOR does not add credibility. Normally when an investor has to add in a falling sp is another way of saying I got it wrong.

Is the sp cheap? Yes in comparison to 2005 but it is at this level for a reason. Previous share price performance does not necessarily mean that it will go up. Fundamentals are at play here on top of sentiment.
If you have invested as much as you say in Lloy then I’m sure you have the mental capacity to understand the dangers of ‘falling in love’ with a company.
I know your response will be you’re only posting because I am jealous of your large position/ exposure but trust me I am not at all and happy with the cards dealt to me. What does annoy me is that some inexperienced investor may take your posts seriously and put their hard earned cash in jeopardy.

My opinion is that significant positive news will move it above 40p otherwise it will be dragged back to a low 30s trading range as markets become nervous going into Q1 2021.
Took a good slice of profit this morning having recovered my losses in lloy just before lockdown 1 so any movement either way positions me nicely to take advantage.

Have to agree last time I ate out in the UK it was very well organised. Escorted to our table having to wear masks, table mats were disposable menus. Cutlery in sealed bags. I would guess retail is the biggest risk to health.
Last time I was in a supermarket while families were doing their shop. Complete madness.
Not so sure the relaxed restrictions at Christmas is a great idea. Students coming home from high to low risk areas. Elderly vulnerable adults sitting round the table with bubbles that are high risk.
As always, the English are laughing stocks in Europe.

now you say your last buy was at 37.137p For someone who is so heavily invested here and 1p movement being potentially worth a few K, then you would have thought your prices would be the same. You even went to 3 decimal places. I'm sure there will be a logical explanation.

Don’t believe most of the posts on here. Those that boast the most on their holdings are probably holding less than you. Why post your holdings? More shares you have supports your credibility perhaps?

Dow now broken through 30k :)

Likewise bought in 3 tranches , first one at 64p and the last one at 48p. Sold the lot at 37p. Just about got my original capital back now, so any move north of this is a well deserved profit.
Had one good trade with JET2 so not such a bad year on reflection. That said, anything can happen to unsettle the market.
Likely fall on opening due to profit taking but can see a recovery later in the day as fund managers drip some more money into the banking sector. Happy to wrong but a little consolidation is good for the sp moving forward.

A few new posters making inane comments once again not long after falky gets challenged on his numerous poster names.
Give yourself another thumbs up or better still post some research or evidence to support your cries of 70p next year.

Dow knocking on the 30k door now!

Dow is always has an influence across the pond but the sp certainly seems to strengthen on the opening bell. Maybe fund managers favouring the banking sector. Lot more optimism now but many possible bumps along the road in the short term.
Not going to guess a valuation for next year as it’s pointless but many LTHs should see their losses cut somewhat despite the poor economic forecasts.
