Ive invested in shares for many years and the price can behave very differently from the news you see. what you think is good news sees the price fall, and what you see as bad news the share rises. its always been a mystery to me, But what I do know is that its a risk, Im currently keeping Blue Chip shares yielding 7%, small potatoes compared to what we expect from 88 but im not going to lose all my money there. Im also not going to get rich there either. I may make some money or lose some, With 88 I honestly expect to Make a lot of money or lose most of the money I have invested here . That im afraid is the nature of AIM high risk shares

Nothing has changed its just shares going up or down. Ive been with 88 for over 2 years . Im not here for peaks and troughs, or a nice little earner spike, Im here to see the job done and thats the oil under the land we own in Alaska that has been proved and De-Risked to a point where Mr Oily CEO is willing to give DW a big fat cheque to buy the company.

Kaimarkell its very much a personal thing Ive heard People talk about Figures Between 10 pence and 2 pounds 95 pence as sell out figures, I think at 10 pence I would top slice and take my origional stake out . I see no reason why we cannot get 30 to 70 pence

Banker Im a layman but I get the idea that there are Billions of barrels of oil down there. But 2.6p per share does not equal 3.6 Billion barrels of oil I know we need to prove and de-risk the situation before Oil CEO's come to see DW with fat cheques. All I can say is im enjoying the ride and staying till the end

Before the lock in when we were drilling IW2. DW was making regular reports but none of them seemed to be very positive it was more of a lets see what happens in the next few days. I know the shut in for the winter was a genuine reason but from a personal point of view it seemed like, we need time to think about the way forward. On the positive side the way forward seems to be a farm out and yukon as back up which to me seems like good business sense. As a layman I dont really understand is if we had very little to start with why after several months are we going to get a gusher?

Why has the share price been leathered all week?

I dont see any problems here just every day trading shares go up and down the only Change we are interested in is the upward re rate after IW2 opens again

I am with you 100% Brombard and have learned from yourself much more about the nature of this investment. I have over a period of around 2 years developed a portfolio of 2.2 Million 88 shares for my wife and I all now in ISA's I am exactly where I want to be and am staying. I may consider top slicing at 10p to pull out my origional stake but nothing less than that because I believe this has the potential to go all the way even Perhaps to push DW into the forbes list

As a long term shareholder I am no longer surprised at the change of sentiment just like the weather. Before the shut in there were several readings none of them favourable that led to people crying its a Duster, but a few months down the line its the biggest Oil well in the history of the world. Nothing has changed we havnt even got IW2 figures yet. A couple of days ago it was 3-4p easily... Now were on the way down and "they are shaking the Tree" Before we go back up of course. Its a very interesting ride but nothing has changed, We have a fabulous company with potential for Both the golden ticket and For it not to be viable and run out of money... Thus the price is less than 3p instead of... 50p de risked proven and pumping out the black gold in vast quantities.
