This is my understanding, because the full £7.5m would be needed for due diligence (not to be paid out to original owners who create the market by selling shares) . It’s not like a normal listing where a company has value. Selkirk has no value because it hadn’t traded before.

In these dark times, this is the one bit of good news for me. With Helmsley becoming involved in both Kelso and Selkirk, I can't believe there's anyway MM is involved, after what Numis did to THG (Unless, as people have suggested, MM planned to destroy sp from the start, once he got his massive bonus and has been in with Numis from the start). My hope is a few of the insiders got wind of what MM was up to and made their move to counter ingenuity being pinched for nothing. This has to be the play. Nothing else makes sense.

Agree - he was long once, but sold and went short. Just doesn't act like a LTH. Most LTH's are frustrated at the moment but if any of us felt the way he did, why would we continue to hold. Just doesn't make sense, just like PMH! Would the people who are closest to knowing the full story had paid nearly £500k on shares at this level if this was a basket case as shorty Mc Short is suggesting?

Selkirk have already given their clues as to what they're interested in - looking for something specifically within the Consumer, Technology and digital media related sectors. It can't be anything but Ingenuity IMO, given Macdonald is one of the main players. If it was nutrition or beauty they were interested in, they wouldn't mention technology or digital media, bearing in mind what MM is doing with ingenuity.

Micason, this is my point - no bank is going to provide 100% finance, so equity is going to have to come from somewhere. Not sure another raise would work.

This has to have been set up to make an improved bid on ingenuity - sort of 1 step removed from MM, so he can't be accused of taking it on the cheap?

Only thing is, where is their funding coming from? £7.5m is just for due diligence - QIA?
