JDT1980..too many people dislike the Kumar s even though I believe Boohoo is a great British company, doing what it can for UK jobs..The BOD of Boohoo are brilliant at execution of distribution on world wide basis....very few Manchester-based companies have achieved in a short while what Boo have and for that , getting the directors of Medussa 19 with the brains of Boohoo, is an astute move..However, the media hate successful businesses like Boohoo and they will use the fall in the shares of Boohoo as a potential crisis..when it is nothing of that sort..We here, are an independent Bio company with potentially a portfolio of world class products ..Boohoo are an incredible success story and the number one rule of business success is simple...If you want to learn to swim, would you go to a man who is drowning or an Olympic gold medallist like Mark Spizts and others...Boohoo are the Gold medaliists of distribution and they can use their world wide experience , to ensure our product distribution achieves a gold standard ..but the media, shorters and sceptics , will try and destroy the good in Boohoo.LP
Ask Terry Smith of Fundsmith Equity why good companies are never cheap..The fundamentals of Boo are sound but at their price last week, they were too expensive, today was an opportunity to buy a financially sound company at a remarkable price ..and I cannot believe the way this share has been tarnished..Boo is a UK company dominating the fashion world ..throughout the world and they should be congratulated for what they have achieved...you do not have to like the founders but you cannot get away from what they have achieved and they make ASOS and Next look like amateurs, but of course they are not amateurs , they are just envious of what a little upstart called BOO has done .>They know their lack of support in this manufactured crisis will not be forgotten.Go On Boo get In there .LP
Avacta will be affected by the short attack going on at Boohoo, make no mistake.Personally, I hope any RNS is delayed this week because even though I am happy with my holding here, Boohoo and Medusa connection will affect us here short term.....I am a holder here and in BOO..LP
This is a full blown short attack but with all punters/traders joining in...Soon at sub £2 this is going to offer fundamental long term value...but be prepared for the attack to make all directors question their modus operandi as there is never make without fire..LP
Hey Chrisar ..If you read the BB here and for many of the shares on LSE...the words are all the same...at times you would not know the name of the company or who the contributors are...the words are all the same....just as you have described.
If you did your research and was happy to make your first purchase after your research , stick with it, it’s always going to take time.
Reading this BB daily every day will screw your head...it’s going to be good in my opinion , but SNG like every Bio company working to alleviate or help patients with or from CV , needs more time than many real8se .Relax, do nothing and your investment given time will flourish .LP
Mostin..The share price will fall until the Oncology technology gets proven...but no one knows about the future, so it's not with worrying about it as AVCT..has many stings to its bow.LP
Hello..Does anyone know what was the cutoff date where holders qualified for the special dividend please?. LP
Hello gjbrandon...I only recently got introduced to Modern Water by a client , who will not tell me how many shares he has here...I have now completed my research on the business and SKIN where I am aware you also have a significant holding.
I bought in to both companies yesterday but intend pound cost averaging up.Unless I am stupid and missed something , both of these companies really do have a fantastic future ahead of them, with the products they have...Also, because many investors have bought into Carnival and other cruise companies, I intend to promote the shares fairly on Stockopedia ..because cruise companies are featured on Stockopedia regularly and I suspect many of the readers on Stockopedia are dentists...I have several good friends who are dentists and I have told them to spread the word about SKIN....both companies need a higher profile because of CV and in no small part because what these 2 companies can do for us as humans is of immeasurable benefit and thus needs a wider audience to appreciate the potential ahead of us..LP
Ron..Your comment about people in the treasury being the brightest on the planet may be true from an IQ measures basis but when it comes to be able to predict anything to do with Economics, there form is all to obvious...they are next to useless ..just like the BOE..So do not hold your breath on the treasury being of any use to Avacta .LP
alwayswinning..time now to go and find another share to talk down...i have read your comments but now I find them annoying. Please do not leave this board, as I am sure we all now know you are unlike your handle..ALWAYSLOSING..GO AND FIND A NEW PARASITE PLEASE,SYMBIOSIS COMES TO MIND
Thank you Lunsam and others...I am a fisherman, so rivers and fresh water are big in my agenda..and frankly in my view the world treats fresh water as though it is an infinite resource , as we all know , it’s nothing like that...I am excited to learn more about a UK company and thank you for your quick reply.LP
Guys..One of my clients introduced me to MWG, recently and I have done some initial research but wonder if holders here could please give me an idea of the finer issues with the company with regards to recent events..I like the concept of the company but I am always looking for interesting stocks to tuck away in my Sipp for long term holding. Thanks . LP
Hello Myles..Thanks for your posting but as you said, you do not need the cash right now and neither do I ..I just had to buy more at a £1... did try to get my order filled at 98p but it was not today..The Avacta story has not changed but the share price has, however, taken a difficult direction for some and I would imagine self preservation kicks in after such a brutal fall today...But as I wrote earlier, the Avacta race for the prize money has only just begun....I do not fear the negative posters here, they deserve their chance to give it their best shot ..and without them our board would be pretty boring ....LTHs it is surely just another day at the office...and as you stated Myles the furlough brigade have perhaps moved on and are looking for their next share that can give them 50% profit in a couple of weeks .LP
Morning to you all...This morning was not unexpected in my view and whilst none of us can predict the future all CV shares at present are following the market down...As some of you know, I come from a horse race betting back ground and you can get live prices on the Betfair Exchange for every second of any race...The bookies or layers give their prices and the punters or backers , either take the price or ignore it..however, if a horse before the off was 2/1 ...often during the race , the layers frequently offer far bigger prices for the same horse because the layers are looking at all the runners in the race and the 2/1 favourite might be held up at the back of the field, meeting trouble in running or simply running its normal race...The problem is ,if you are inexperienced at watching races , you may start laying the very horse you have just backed because you now think your winner is a gonner...Shares over days and weeks are like the race seconds in a race....believe me being a successful layer is harder than being a successful winner..many will disagree but you try it and you will soon find out .
Before, buying into Avacta I studied every bit of form I could get my hands on but in the end my decision gave me the confidence to invest and either way , win or lose I will not be losing sleep over events today...even if Avacta falls to 50p.
Accordingly, I rarely take bigger prices in running for my bets and do not bother to lay my winners if they look like they are in trouble, ..often, things are not going their way or just running their normal race..What separates the winning punter from the losing punter is the ability to see the reality of what’s in front of you...many will disagree with your choice of horse both before and during the race but as is often the case , what really matters in any race is what the horse does is in the final furlong of a race...as that is where class comes into play ..not during the early seconds of a race..Avacta are still in the early stages of their race to bring the CV and cancer treatments to market..competitors are everywhere trying to beat Avacta but I know one thing and all of you who have studied the form of Avacta know this...the products are potentially best in class but right now some shareholders only see the problems ahead and have bailed out..for fear of losing all that they have invested...Very few make big money on shares and some view those that do as clever, they may well be clever but they are as human as you are and if you read this BB you may think ‘I am a gonner and I need to get out now before the price falls further.’..However, if you are researched , patient and able to afford the luxury of giving Avacta the time it needs, the prize money will be secured ..it will not do it in days ,weeks or months perhaps , as the race is a long one but if what I have read, seen on video and believe is true, Avacta will cut through the field and deliver the results we hope for .LP
thelearner..What a great post from this morning..everyone on here should take note of what you have written, as it sets out the timescales we are facing before true value in this share can be realised..until then we are all speculating and posturing..None of us can wait forever but all things will come to those who wait..For what it is worth, my view is simple, many holders will sell out up to 20p, as they will have banked decent profits by then and bird in the hand and all that comes into play.LP
Hello Vanilla..Apologies you are correct...I bought less at lower levels but more at higher levels and then bought even more at lower levels....Because it took me so long to decide to purchase I did not buy enough at the lowest level but I bought a big chunk at 114...I know I should have bought more but we all know that now..As I stated earlier, now I am here for the long haul...LP
Thank you Devils..ATB.LP
Olderandwiser..with respect, you would not expect me to give you than information...it took me about 12 years of research to find, and as much as I consider myself generous...alas, I am not that generous..ATB..Thanks for your posts.LP
Hello Fellow Investors,
I have been in Avacta for nearly 3 months now and whilst I have a holding in the company that is the biggest in my Sipp...I did my research for some time before I started, one step at a time buying into this amazing story..
I have lost count of the number of posts I have read and at times I have been amazed at how stupid, naive or misguided some posters are..' going to £2 or £5 tomorrow..its all blue'...I have been in business for over 35 years and I have made decent money from the business but the most amount of money I have made is from betting on the horses and at times, I see here all the worst parts of betting in the hands of those who should not be betting...I believe, some here should put their money with Terry Smith at Fundsmith and with no Aim company.
I made my horse racing a serious business, and in the main had professional businessmen as clients who knew nothing about betting...I taught them to think..analyse form and bet professionally using proven methodology..that if applied in the right races could give say 40 % winners...but for many many clients, coping with the losers was the hardest part...and if you cannot cope with losers in racing..you are in the wrong game..Even with 40% winners we all did very nicely but we were not greedy and we knew how to cope with the inevitable losers...The stuff I have seen in the AIM market with Avacta in the last few weeks has left me gobsmacked....but I am not selling and I will not be selling even 1 share anytime soon..I am not bright enough to trade the share but I know if I applied myself I could...MM might be reading this but every greedy move they have made has allowed me selectively to acquire more shares at lower prices and bring my average down..and thank them for that.
I truly believe in this company and I will give it all the time it needs.. and all the posters desperate to see £5 tomorrow, relax...go away from here for a few weeks and you will feel better...Do Nothing is my motto...once I decide to buy into a company I am not for leaving but not before I have done my research do I invest 1p..I have no doubt we will all learn from the recent rubbish we have endured but do not let the MM's and the rampers and the shorters get to you..they are playing mind games...just as bookies do..I can tell you, I know when the bookies are sending out the smoke signal for a horse that is going to win...and I do not need a second invitation to bet accordingly..I believe in AC and team Avacta but do not let the bookies on AIM get into your head. Finally, a big thank you to those smart guys here(you know who you all are) who have helped me learn so much more about Avacata and its brilliant products, which are going to make a difference.Thank you.LP
Adam..I am not going to give you advise..but stop right now and DO NOTHING..leave what you have alone, stop trying to predict the future..You have bought into a great company with Avacta and just let it develop at its own speed..I hope this helps.LP
