So market Forces? Shows what is going on. Shorting aside this fall is being aided and abetted by all and sundry. In fact it is that bad a share that the mm's will take large chunks of your shares off your hands for you. Crooked as hell. Do what you see fit to do with your own shares but the market is out to rob us all if we are naive enough to allow it.

Once they have squeezed what they can from the sp they will be gone - they will also have to buy back in order to close their position. It is frustrating but it will pass.

Bluenose - I am not sure what your particular position is here, but, once again, short-termism is arguing against long-termism. Surely you can see that. Ahfam is not wrong as his position is long whereas yours may be short - I don't know.

Also, could you educate us as to what the BoD could or should do in your eyes. Shouting from the rooftops is fine but at least be clear about what you want to see.

Hi Gunner, I know that you have a Bee in your bonnet in relation to consolidation. I just wanted to point out, politely, that the sp would be where it is anyway as nothing will have changed progress wise. Consolidation has significantly reduced the number of shares in circulation which is why - once news drops or a deal comes through of some description - the sp will rise much more quickly than other shares.

Hypothetically, take a buy out scenario for £1.4bn then that will be worth £20 per share. Much higher than if there were 3bn shares in circulation. So there is a potential benefit still to come from consolidation. It is frustrating for us all to see the sp languish but at least we know what and who is causing it. Hold on tight if you can. Our day will come

For the record, I do not believe either one of you. You may enjoy short term success but that is not my strategy so we will always agree to disagree. Avoided the "when will news drop" question I note. Your insider dealing is clear with your link to previous emails in relation to Operation Cleopatra. Nobody had the same inside information that you had MAJ when the sp was 110p for a start. Nobody here is predicting buyouts at this stage whatsoever.

Agree with your logic Bailiff - The flaw in Pumas logic is that he cannot predict when news will drop and omits to state that those selling out may not make money by buying in lower. They could even lose money. Would he care? Not a jot. Completely shameless. Anyway, it is what it is and "market forces" will dictate. The rest of us are powerless.

I see that there is an uncrossing trade (U/T) at 90.4p. Probably trying to ensure that we open red on Monday morning.

Yep I can agree that some of our past posts are cringeworthy. Most of that is down to us investors not fully appreciating how long flash to bang would be.

The analogy I would use is that of a marathon runner. Full of confidence at the start, struggling with the hard yards, but perking up as the realisation that the finishing line will eventually come. What you would be reluctant to do is to throw your hand in after the hard yards despite the effort required to keep going.

Hi Potnak, In direct response to your earlier post. Thats all fine. I have to disagree with you on 2 points:

1. The BoD cannot manage the sp up. They would have to mislead the market which is illegal. They can only report what is reportable. The sp is open to all types of manipulation and I know you have been around long enough to know that and to have seen it. "Market forces" "Supply and demand" are all very broad brush expressions used by brokers to justify manipulation whilst they reap the rewards. The sp will settle where the likes of Puma and his city mates take it with their short positions and/or RF sells.

2. Puma being right is also subjective. That is like us receiving sudden good news on 737 and me stating we are going to go up. Puma will have his day no doubt but even he will have to buy back to close his/their position. Short term prediction with a strong tail wind in either direction is easy.

What I do find strange though is the fact that anyone who is positive about the longer term (myself included) is talked down by short termers who can't see further than their next £50. I am at a loss to understand why anyone would invest (as opposed to trade) in any share that they are not enthusiastic or optimistic about in the longer term.
