Do holders here see the weaker pound being a big positive for the company in the short to medium term?

Do certain peeps truly believe the current SP is a true reflection of, not only the potential of the company, but the activity that is currently occurring on the ground?
I've a few holdings that are making excellent on the ground progress, but due to current geopolitical and macro economic conditions, their SPs' are significantly suppressed. Does this transient condition affect the long term value? Not really, although I concede that asset sales during these uncertain times will be affected, negatively and positively, depending upon individual circumstances.
Investing in microcaps is not for the faint hearted. For some, with lesser appetite for risk vs reward, it may be more prudent to put their money into a savings account for a 0.5% pa return. ;-)

If some on here could refrain from slating everyone with a positive outlook towards Eurasia and simply address facts that they don't agree with. Just because a few million shares seems huge to some, doesn't mean it's a lie. Maybe we're all lying to ourselves ;-)
One poster in particular, who started off fairly reasonable, has become obsessed with others outlook and posts as such throughout the day. Not healthy :-)

Problem is, the West's actions have backfired and Russia realise they hold quite a strong hand. Massive increase in Gazproms half yearly profits announced today. Hardly a way to encourage Russia to end the war, more likely to prolong it, as its a situation that keeps on giving.
Instead of trying to blackmail Russia into ending the war, the west need to negotiate or fight fire with fire. All their current actions are achieving is uncertainty and poverty for the masses.

You have to admire them, just popped back in for an evening catch up, to see two more "holders" recently arrive on the forum to warn us all how bad things are. File 13 for two more :-)

The UK has a structure whereby individuals are programmed into a life of servitude, slaves to earning a crust. The clever part is that we are told we are all free, roughly translated as the opportunity to whinge and whine. Mortgages, meaningless higher education, consumerism, tie in contracts for basic services that are hard to leave, the list goes on. For many, this awareness of what has happened to us comes later in life, if we're lucky.
Not sure there's a perfect solution, but I do feel there's parts of other societies that have there place. I'm well aware there are much worse places to live, but they're countries where you work hard, are not taxed to death (funding obscene monetary waste), and left alone, as long as you don't slate the government.

Can the statement "hope all had a great bank holiday" be used to slate Mac?

Personally its the big announcement I'm waiting for, I don't see much chance of a rerate without.
I may not see this as a dead cert, but I do see it as having the potential of life changing if all comes good :-)

Where do you get the figures that show the number of large holders that are affecting liquidity?
The few holders I know personally, see this as a punt on, an essentially, binary outcome. I guess "large holding" is a relative term.
Personally don't see why there would be a rerate on reinstatement. That's not to say that I'm not happy with my "investment", holding long.

If the appointment of the new NED is conveniently slow, it may prove quite advantageous in avoiding a disorderly market, if company changing news is imminent;-)

Lets's hope all the people that bought in on the back of posts from an anonymous poster on a share forum, are looking in the right direction for any failing they perceive in their "investment".

CTC, you're deciding when to use your grey matter, and when not to. You can't extrapolate any of the info from the AGM but you're capable of stating that I am trying to mislead lol :-)
There's a model regarding individuals emotion state and how it affects their logic, a cube with four stances. 1.Uncomfortable with certainty, 2.Uncomfortable with uncertainty,3. Comfortable with certainty, 4.Comfortable with uncertainty. The latter option is the only one that allows information and experience to be met without judgement.
