I realise lots bought into Eurasia off the back of the proposed asset sale, and it is primarily the reason for the large fluctuations we've seen over the last two years. I've been in since 2018.
The Russian government have been quite clear regarding restrictions to foreign companies attempting to cut and run. Nothwithstanding that, the same government have been actively strengthening their evolving Brics economic ties ( the same Brics members that are the "interested parties"), I don't see how the medium term prospects of the company are anything but excellent.
I don't see the asset sale as the be all and end all, If it occurs great. If it doesn't occur, due to government restrictions on movement of assets, there are a multitude of other ways of realising the value of the assets in the ground without a sale, but utilising industry partners in various guises. However, my instinct is that the government will want to encourage the asset sale as a great way of cementing the new economic power base that is being created involving China and India.
