Raydaar, electric cars do have standard braking systems, if you completely switch off regeneration then it is the same as a fully automatic car.

However regeneration reduces dramatically brake wear. Turned fully up you can almost get away without braking at a T junction.

A close friend of mine is analysing the future market of servicing electric cars Vs current combustion cars and the potential impact on their business. I think he is in his fourth year. An absolute petrol nut, he thinks they are much better, but for towing etc have a way to go.

I imagine that current crazy acceleration figures will reduce to sensible ones and tyre wear will be more aligned to combustion cars.

One interesting factor which cropped up was the trend for low profile tyres is confusing, it increases drag and dramatically reduces range in electric vehicles - yet people attach them to their cars for performance?

Possibly low profile directional tyres may outperform if constantly turning on winding roads but elsewhere?

Watcher, you are wrong about brake wear on electric cars, it is significantly less.

You need to do some reading up.

Tyre wear I can imagine could be higher, mainly because virtually all electric cars outperform on acceleration their counterparts.

The likes of the Kia EV6 has motorcycle type acceleration.

Grannies with heavy feet will need a telescope to find them.

The Basher, I agree big private investors, I would be surprised to see a fund, until around or after production starts.

Got you now Roger, that is a long thread, yes Guido's reasoning, if the correct start date in September and submission type are both correct that could be the last date.

That is best in that scenario provide the name and date, others probably thought you were referencing a more recent post, at least within the same day!

I think that the work being completed across three countries and multiple companies is so complex that it is beyond our experience or comprehension and all of us are just guessing.

Each time a long stop date arrives, there can only be three outcomes, discontinue, extend or complete so speculation and excitement/ optimism will be covered by posters, understandable and people on here are not 100% serious all of the time.

From what I have seen and heard I have a lot of confidence in Bernard,Steve and the team to do things properly. Hainan operate in a very difficult space with tight margins so are likely to be quite conservative too. For me I can put up with slow if everything is correct. Kodal have announced everything we are doing operates under the 2019 mining code, therefore we are submitting optimization only not change so the timeframes with the government should be short.

I am comfortable waiting.

Since Kodals announcement that we are not operating under the new mining code, frankly either way it does not matter a great deal, my updated guess on Leo Lithium is:

Leo or their consultants have possibly failed to analyse properly the issues that the government had with tax avoidance in gold mining and how gold ore was being used to avoid this tax. Although the last two mining code updates, especially 2019 are blatantly clear on this.

I think that Leo Lithium moving into Lithium ore might have constituded a change of use, because it will not fall under optimization, even though they have stopped, it may depend on what documents they have submitted. I can't see the Mali government letting them off in this scenario otherwise all of the gold mines could also argue against their tax bills.

Kodal submitted an initial plan to mine spodumene, nothing has changed, the DMS plant is part of the same plan, simply optimization, but I bet Kodal are going over every word in their documents to ensure everything is spot on.

Leo shares are going to bomb once the suspension is lifted, the company has been silent.

It appears to have been lacking enough detail for ASX too and is also now in trouble with the regulators.

I am not sure what is going on with Leo, now they remain suspended because they have not answered ASXs questions adequately.

I think for many of us we have to be so careful. At 680 dollars per tonne and 20m tonnes this was a good little investment with a good potential return.

Mali was happy to expand their mining portfolio and we were happy to make a few pounds.

Then the world went crazy for lithium and all eyes are on it.

Goulamani set off over the fence in a similar fashion, but now they are up to 140m tonnes and still counting.

Ours looks like it may go a similar way.

Bougouni is now a different animal, not a quick profit decent return anymore, it is a big slow monster which now has to be handled with care, everyone is watching. However the potential returns are mind blowing.

100notout. Yes in a sense, if Hainan dragged their feet at the final signing or at any other stage. That does not appear to be an issue.

But now if it was, Kodal could easily raise 5m finish the resource upgrade before the year end and then cut a deal with one of the other interested parties based on a higher tonnage.

Kodal holds the cards, Hainan is an excellent JV partner and I am sure it will work well, but it would be stupid for Kodal to set a long stop date way in the future which could trap them.

Even without an ev revolution the world is short of lithium.
