I bought a smallish number this morning @ 18.5 and since noticed that Paul Scott (he used to be a FD at a women's wear company) has done a write up - "could be a 10 bagger or bust" seems to be tist of it. Is it? I thought it was some way below 3%. Fairly happy to hold on to this though in the expectation that value will out in the end. Main concern is what effect all this has had on individual bar managers? Are they going to feel unloved and unappreciated by those above who just wanted to sell out at a knockdown price. If so, just how motivated are they going to be coming into the busiest season of the year?

I'm still here - although only with a fairly small holding. Had hoped that another interested party would have come along by now as 203p is a steal. Looks as though Deltic can't come up with the cash and I doubt shareholedrs are much interested in their merger idea. Possibility must be that the Stonegate offer gets voted down and if they don't come up with more cash the SP will dive.

Not really. The company issued loan notes (like bonds) in order to raise money. They were paying a high rate of interest on these notes and had the option to redeem them (pay back the lenders) early. They took this option as the notes were costing them more in interest payments than they could get funding elsewhere.

Yes - sometimes "boring" is good. And good to get further confirmation that they're only interested in buying when it makes long term sense.

I can't believe some of the posts on here today. This company may have increased turnover but the losses have increased by even more. As I've said before, anyone can make something for 5 pounds and sell it for 3 pounds. But that's really not a way to run a business. I can see this going back to below 20p again - and I still wouldn't buy it.

I may well be a bit late with this - and it's not all that new, but has anyone tried their Cola, either on its own or with dark spirits? If so, what's the verdict?

The Deltic Group has reported 1.4% growth in turnover to £102.2m for the year to 25 February 2017 and says of its outlook: ‘The trading performance continues to improve and there will be further improvements in the future from the continued refurbishment programme.’ Deltic CEO Peter Marks has told Propel his company is ‘very much in the game’ with regards to Revolution Bars, which has just recommended a £101.5m bid from Stonegate to shareholders, and is working to offer a counter bid.

At their AGM they said "The Company will announce a trading update in relation to the six months ending 31 August 2017 in early September 2017, followed by the full half year results in October."

Not so sure abouty that. If you call enough then some must obviously come good. I thought results were due today. Bit worrying that they haven't been released when promised.
