"If they carry on doing that right, I dont see why they couldnt overtake Marks & Spencer. - which would put Boo's share price somewhere north of 488p.
Dividend policy unchanged
Vodafone reconfirms its intention to grow the dividend per share annually, which is further supported by the expected accretion to FCF per share from the Transaction.
Well, not really.
A director who already owns millions of shares purchasing a few thousands means nothing. There were a couple of directors who bought shares last December - the price has hardly moved.
Carole Kane sold about 10% of her shares (don't we all wish we'd done the same at the same time) but she still owns an awful lot.
I don't understand why you see the directors not buying shares as such a negative. They already own a shedload and I'm sure they will be more than happy to see what they already own going up in the long run.
Good job we can rely on Shore Capital who reiterate their advice to HOLD which they last gave when the share price was around 725p.
Glad I didn't agree and sit on the sidelines at the time.
Grayling - I'm interested in who you don't see this as being a problem for?
I don't know how many individuals own or owned Aviva preference shares but I would think a big proportion of them now don't trust AV - not just as far as preference shares are concerned but also for investments and insurance. If AV are prepared to scour the fine print of their own paperwork to find a possible way out of their responsibilities then maybe they'll do the same as far as other products. How many will move their business to alternatives when they come up for renewal. So potential for lost business there. This whole sorry saga is likely to stay in the public arena for some time to come - not doing Aviva's reputation much good.
Not really, it was posted on a board elsewhere last Thursday.
But maybe more and more investors, including shorters, are taking positives from last week's results.
More days like this please.
I wouldn't bet the farm on this setting a floor of 2750 on the SP. I'm sure we've all thought that before on other shares where the floor hasn't been all that solid.
What I do think it shows is that there are no nudge nudge wink wink expectations of a bid anytime soon.
I'm not trying to talk down the price - I own plenty, just trying to be realistic.
