Actually that's a really interesting question becasue, of course they must have known. It's inconceivable that a landlord wouldn't have known that one it's tenants had not paid rent for 4 years. Someone in accounts would have covered themselves by making sure that non payment was agreed by those higher up. And if those higher up did agree to it then why did they? Surely the only possible reason is that they knew that the tenant couldn't afford it.

It's a cake shop!!!! (OK a bunch a cake shops) so how difficult can it be to have produced a set of figures for the past three months.

Probably could have done it using a simple Excel spreadsheet.

And I wouldn't take much notice of that sea of red on the Share Trades page - one of those red 29.675 is mine and I was definitely buying.

But don't take any notice of that - me buying is usually a sign that the SP is going to turn south.

Feb 12 last year but given that it is a small company and that they will hopfeully want to give some positive news as soon as possible, I'm hoping for something much sooner this year. Maybe sometime in the next 2 weeks.

What's that all about?
There's hardly any turnover.

I am one of those early shareholders and, no I definitely haven't forgotten that our 100% became 66%.
And I have no doubt that the 33% is going to cost us a lot more than £5M - we can watch with interest but there's not much we can do about it.

I think you need to be careful what you wish for.
If the sons decide to sell their 33% early for mega money and decide that, actually, they prefer the high life, travelling around and partying with their showbiz friends rather than worrying about a clothing company that they no longer have a material interest in - what kind of effect do you think that's going to have on the future for PLT?

Farruggia - why would they be getting them back 5p cheaper. Are you suggesting they get over 5% fee for loaning out? I don't think it's anything like as much as that.

I'm with you - I don't see them buying another 143 million shares just so they can make a litle bit by lending them out.

I know it's early days but my fingers and toes are crossed for some positive news on developments in America.

I seem to have held these shares forever but they've paid good dividends along the way so I'm happy. Now, what to do with the proceeds?

We seem to be getting squeezed out in my loocal Tesco. Quite a small presence there today compared with during the summer.

I'm holding on in the hope that we can be the ones doing the squeezing when it comes to America, where I have high hopes.

Apparently a whole load more sales than buys going through - some fairly chunky.
