Never nice to suffer a big drop on a big holding but I looked on it as a positive. They want the money to cover different areas and increase "investments".

Very happy to have topped up again yesterday at just below the placing price - so managed to buy in at less than those clever institutions for once.

Well you say that and I too would have appreciated a bit more flesh on the bones but I do take more comfort from them clearly saying that "momentum continued through the summer months" and sounded very positive about Autumn.

I'm very happy to continue holding.

Very disappointed that they didn't bother briefing me - as a shareholder. This looks like quite a significant "announcdement" and surely worthy of an RNS.

Maybe more important is how important the sons are yto the success of PLT and if you pay them a load of money for their share how do you then maintain their drive to keep PLT succeeding?

At the moment they're getting 1/3rd of what they're generating.

Give them £10M and some shares, will they lose interest and simply persue the celebrity lifestyle they've got used to?

If you say, "give them loads of shares in BOO to maintain their interest" and is that going to be any different to what they have now?

Yes, technically you're right, he's a shareholder and not THE owner. But he is in control - if I was a shareholder, which I'm not, then I wouldn't be able to make Sports Direct buy House of Fraser.

As expected, they ended up selling more than originally announced.
If acts as last time then share price could drop a bit further over next coupld of days and if so I'll be picking up a few more.

Can the selling directors really need the money though - espacially after selling a truck load in March??

If last time's anything to go by (only in March) they will end up selling many more (last time it was twice as many "due to institutional demand").

Price before placing was 2957p, Price shares sold for was 2750p. Price the day after sale was 2807p

I don't imagine the non-exec is feeling very happy today.
