It is simply impossible to project that far in advance. By that time it is intended nearly all the UK population will have been inocculated and there are more and more vaccinesa riiving by the day. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine for instance should be arriving in the next two weeks.

SmithyS, I am not sure if you are referring to me or not as you haven't specified. All 3 numbers are the indicators. A trending down infection rate tells you things are working. For todays infection rates are tomorrows hospitalisations and mortality. We will know the vaccine is working with reductions in BOTH hospitalisations and the mortality.

Israel should be, and imho will be, a really good indicator of the vaccine working but for those in doubt all the Stage 1, 2, 3 trials, the efficacy rates and MRHA oversights and equivalents elsewhere in the world, tell you that there will be drop coming in the key statistics.

It is just a case of waiting for that time lag from injection to the vaccine working to taking effect and translate through. Lockdown measures working are what we are seeing at the moment. Both should combine.

The science in this country behind the delivery plan is to treat those who have been identified in the highest mortality groups first and to take that out the system. The top 4 cohorts contribute 88% of Covid deaths. Inocculate them and let it work and build up peoples immunity and you get to levels whereby the pressure off the press to ease restrictions will be deafening. I am with the science on this and then think the treatment of the next chorts by end March to take 99% mortality out the system will work further.

Read and interpret the plans and statistics for yourself and then be patient and pick up opportunities if they prevail.

In any case we have a vaccine programme on which the numbers don't lie and it is showing signs of working.

Death Rates to be falling (1820 peak). Tick

The plan is to get the Top 4 cohorts all 1st vaccinated by the 15th February and in so doing to take what should be the 88% mortality rates out of the system. That being on top of any lockdown reductions.

Do they work against vaccine mutation. Answer yes and the rollout continues and ramps up by the day.

Like I say I think you will find that restrictions are eased about the end of Feb, possibly before.

Lockdown measures kick in first, then with a time delay for the vaccine to work, you should then have the vaccine effect in top.

In theory there is an obvious 10% to 12% gap that has emerged today to simply put TUI on par with some of its main competitors.

It looks about 12% further oversold than the likes of Easyjet and IAG. Remarkable really.

I've actually picked up a few as the UK Governments vaccine programme is going well with the highest number of 1st vaccinations recorded only yesterday. Lockdown measures also seem to now be working their way through with the infection rate trending down, hospitalisation rate down and a drop in numbers in the death rate doiwn from 1820 deaths from the day before

That says relaxation by end of March, possibly mid Feb, if the effects of vaccinations follow through.

Then as for lockdowns extending into the summer? I can't personally see it. Yesterday was the first set of statistics which showed the present measures were actually working the way they were intended and there is further mass ramp up coming between now and the month end. The 15th February deadline I think will be met for the first 4 cohorts and I can see things easing by the start of March with further evidence coming in between. The press sensationalise to sell papers and the numbers yesterday contradict theiir route to the newstands.

Nice opportunity though this morning for a trading pot.

I have been watching the daily Government statistics for signs of whether Lockdown measures are starting to work and will keep monitoring for the vaccine effect starting to kick in and impact as well.

I am in favour of incentivising Mooky and the BoD to have them aligned with shareholder interests. The only thing I would say is that I would like to see the £1.30 start point increased to £1.50.

My reasoning is that I would like to see some of that share price earned as opposed to what might just be a natural rebound with cinemas reopening and a good run of films premiering and with say a £1.00 or £2.00 increase in a ticket price.

CARD are fine for cash until April and I suspect if they need additional monies then it will be by way of an increase in any revolving credit facility given the successfull rollout of the vaccine. I have drawn the same conclusion as yourself on the valuation disparity between Moonpig and CARD.

And some of our day trading institutions now getting light on stock to sell to influence the direction and whilst the mass vaccination programme is rolling out nicely.
