Well today was easy money for anyone inclined. I pointed out a long time back that they had a £100M mezzanine loan facility across the back of present lendings so in theory there was no rush. The banks have been clearly adopting a wait and see approach to see if reopenings took place on 12th April and what things would be like when trading resumed. They have imho done more in 2 months for the share price than the Chairman and his doubled up role and increased salary.

One of the tenants CARD Factory (CARD) stated this morning that since reopening on April 12th trade had "exceeded expectations". Tends to confirm reopening photos, foitfall and sales reports and personal experience. BH weekend should also hopefully see many hit the Shopping malls and High Street.

Cine can make good profit off 10% in the cinemas.

Secondly if you just adjust your reopenings date from 17 May to 21 May then you add another 127 multiplexes. Circa 76 open presently but transforming to Circa 663 multiplexes by then. May is a very significant reopening month taking CINE up to having reopened 88% revenue and profit generating capacity.

Today is the end of April so I think a few had expected an update. Thats why the little shake and NT to sell.

They've been waiting all along to see A) if shops reopened on 12th April and B) how they have performed. C) I suspect there will still be more of B) going on to decide on the appropriate level. It is 26.6 Million in the first 9 cohorts. I actually provided you with the 2nd link detailing how many are in each cohort. Total is 26.6 Million. Therefore the UK has 2nd vaccinated nearly 53%.

Important if you are reflecting on the month in summary to have kept your eye on 2nd vaccinations as the focus for this month has been on getting 2nd vaccinations done and getting the full efficacy of the vaccines and immunity - and it is clearly working in reducing hospitalisations and deaths. Covid related hospitalisations stand at only 134 today and deaths at only 22 (against a peak of 1820 per day).

Today the UK administered some 462,885 2nd vaccinations which now takes the total of 2nd vaccinations up to 14,043 961, with a noticeable pick up always towards the end of the week and at the weekend.

My calculations show that there were 26.6 Million in total in Cohorts 1-9, which was the key risk groups.

Therefore as things stand tonight the Government have achieved 2nd vaccinations to over half those in cohorts 1-9.

Imho they won't be far off all of Cohort 1-9 completed by the end of May. That then takes 99% mortality out of the system and 60 Million Pfizer booster jabs on order

Happy to let them keep throwing away piddly small amounts of shares to try and get more back in return when all can see that the UK and US are shaping up and improving far better than anyone ever imagined. We have had all schools return, Non essential retail reopen, al fresco dining, seating trials at the Carabao Cup final etc etc and still reduced infection rates and deaths.

Thoughts anyone what greater unlocking may come? Lifting of capacity restrictions? Reduced social distancing?


Any quicker speeding up of a return to normality will be welcomed by most businesses.
