I'd sit back and chill on the legal side as it is probably about a year away and then as HNS and others have pointed out there would then be a UK side over and above. Cannacord incidentally rated the Cineplex chances of success at 25%.

Shortly after we pulled the plug on the deal and Ciniplex weren't able to pass on an extra $200M+ debt to ourselves they had to almost immediately go to the finance markets to raise monies. That they did by way of a debenture and they raised $316,250,000 (Canadian) at a 5.75% coupon.

At the end of Q3 2021 their balance sheet only showed just over $28 Million ($28,471,000)

Monthly cash burn during that quarter they reported had reduced from $24M to $2.9M.

BUT

It doesn't take a genius to work out that what with Omicron cinema lockdowns in Canada they will be back to cash burning nearer the $24M per month. Rents, film studios and suppliers will all be presently without payment. These will have to be paid.

So I think they were very close to having burn't through all of the debenture monies of $316,250,000 (Canadian) prior to cinemas closing in Canada.

Critically as well though, unlike ourselves @CINE who have made a tidy sum of money from Spiderman No Way Home to help to tide us over towards The Batman, they (Cineplex) have had the biggest revenue generator of the year cut extremely short and will probably miss the full theatrical window on this. There is a every chance it will be on streaming by the time they emerge from the present Canadian lockdown. Not only that they will have had Goodmans legal fees land at their door and now need to retain them.

My point is that I think they need to raise again and imminently and it might have to be by another route. dyor.

It was imho a stunt pulled by a broom cupboard operation that the market makers just used to pilfer stock. It'll get given back.

Partial details of the content of the appeal starting to emerge and it looks like CINE are actually angling to knock out the full award.

Strong words but to be fair, and having watched the trial, I do think they make perfectly valid points re "consistent with past practice" and "ordinary course".

He made "some" of his money back on two shares and told us all we would be better switching. Since then CINE has gone up between 25% and 30% whilst one of his recommendations retraced and he would probably have been better just staying put and remaining quiet.

Cine was 124p with cinemas closed and in the midst of the pandemic and with vaccinations only just rolling out. By contrast now, it is clear that the Omicron wave has peaked in the UK and we are getting back to normal on the 26th November with restrictions being removed. The biggest point though is that people are sensing the end of the pandemic being close as the more deadly Delta variant has and is being replaced by the milder Omicron variant.

Despite all that the 4th Quarter looks to have averaged a very nice profit and free cash flow for CINE that imho should see ourselves through to mid Feb and the next biggie and The Batman pre-sales.

I go to the cinema regularly and have still got Matrix 4, Scream, Belfast, Death on the Nile and Uncharted all to see before The Batman, so have plenty of choice.

There are 3 large trades amounting to £946,860 that have shown up after market close. All are at higher prices to the closing "Offer" price. I therefore have them all as "Buys"

It seems Shares Magazine have picked up on the anomoly also. Just shows there are people watching these bulletin boards. Thankfully they are more objective and reasoned in their articles.

I am expecting it to recover back to 490p.

In about an hours time today's remaining newspapers get picked up off the shelves and bundled up on a sale or return basis. Tomorrow you will probably find them as the outer wrapping on your fish and chips.

The volume today doesn't merit the percentage fall and most of it was market maker indiced in the first place. Add across the back of that a fair number of buys taking advantage of todays discount.

The fact they have refused to declare the size of their position and it is not showing on the over 0.5% FCA or short tracker list says it all. Dark is hardly being "attacked" by short seller(s) if there are not any listed.

The Telegraph really should know better than publishing such claims and without proper covering sources or justification. The DARK legal department you would think would be conversing with the DT on behalf of shareholders.

FYI - short positions are disclosable over 0.1% and that is the notification threshold to the FCA. However they only publish those over 0.5%. Why for transparency and openness they don't disclose all positions is beyond me.

Greatful though for the topping up opportunity that it has presented, given the excellent trading update. On Friday I had thought 430p was the new floor so anything under that is welcome and I am not expecting it to recover back towards 490p in the short term.

Sanchez if there is nothing showing on short tracker then it is probably just the market makers moving the share price to generate volume. Either that or SF (without any position) just seeking a good entry point. The most recent company update speaks for itself as does the companies response.

It looks like the improving numbers in last weeks update are beginning to sink in and there seems to have been healthy institutional buying volume emerge in the last week or so.

The profitability from the last quarter and continued improvement should see CINE through nicely until The Batman pre-sales around mid-February and then its into the summer months with a continual run of good films. Spiderman tbf is still generating a healthy CUME on top of others and any new releases should tide them over. Scream seems to have comfortably exceeded its forecasts at the weekend.

The appeal lodged is also great news as it is clear it has a lengthy timeframe. The counterparty CPlex also being closed and having missed out on what I think for them was vital Spiderman revenues leaves them highly vulnerable to having too find further funding and to another fresh start trying to rebuild custom.

Hopefully we get back to the 60's and 70's in the interim period what with the visible institutional buying that was absent for so long.

It does seems way too cheap for where it is at the moment.

Others to watch whilst it hopefully corrects itself back up further. Happy to be patient.
