The data I received tonight is that the shorts in CINE have noticeably reduced by 0.59%. So I'd say AHL Partners have probably totally disappeared.

It is a large UT but the Uncrossing trade represents both a matched sell and a buy so you may well be correct.

There are also some big trades after that as well which even though some of the first ones are listed as sells, when you look at the executed price compared to the spread at the time, it seems clear that these are also buys. They finish with a £1 Million and a £682K trades which are both Buys imho. For me the aftermarket is being used to disguise accumulation. Decide for yourselves.

getafgrip, the market is clearly ignoring your comments trying to associate ML with DARK. DARK have done a very good job of distancing themselves from ML and that is why the SP is going up.

That plus the company is getting on with delivering results, new contracts and new products.

That's why confidence is returning to the share price.

I don't think you will be wrong Pearls with 450p as an estimate for the week ahead. It seems clear that whereas some (traders imho) would like you to think ML is an issue here, he actually plays no part in the day to day direction of DARK - the market knows that and the share price actually rose on Friday, and finished strongly.

Then after UK markets closed the Dow finished over 500 points up on Friday followed by other key US Indices.

As for for ML, and independent of DARK.
The civil case we know is going to be subject to appeal for him.
PP's decision will certainly be appealed by him.
So both cans just get further kicked down the road for him by another year.

Over @Cineplex it looks like some key decisions will be in progress.

They laid off 5000 staff due to Omicron closures but it looks like from 31st Jan they can reopen those cinemas - BUT ONLY AT 50% CAPACITY. So whereas all those staff costs were taken out the mix, now they will have to factor in rehiring and for only 50% capacity.

I also happen to think that having gone full closure they will have to work real hard to regain people's confidence and to get them back into cinemas again.

If things progress as per the grid below they will still be at 50% capacity for the opening weeks of Uncharted and Death on the Nile (11th Feb). That then remaining the case as per the roadmap until 21st Feb, provided there are no major bumps in the road.

Ian it is just the way the Canadian legal system is set up. You lodge your appeal with the grounds. Then the other side having viewed it gets to put their reply (counter appeal) and then it goes back to the those initially lodging the appeal (appellant) to further comment (Max 5 Pages I believe) Nothing weird about it and its aimed to try and save time.

If the article is correct then there should be an update from Cineworld coming this week.

Since the press seem to have been either able to view the paperwork or had specific parts of it leaked to them it would be nice if all could get to see it.

The first thing that he will do is lodge an appeal and then its another year before it will be heard.

ijgs if you read the Wikipedia page on ML below and his career it only shows that he invested £20M into DARK and tbf given the success of most of his other investments and ventures all or part of that could have come from anywhere.

HNS_77 the article heading contradicts itself for if the Appeal is found in Cineworld's favour CPlex will be entitled to nothing.

Imho it reads as if CPlex are strapped for cash and trying to pass on the full cost OF THEIR PANDEMIC to Cineworld. Its about as desperate as trying to claim lost shareholder benefits when they had been churned umpteen times over.

Plus points are that it clearly states that they are getting nothing whilst proceedings are ongoing and also states that Cineworld themselves will respond. Hopefully an RNS next week and a regain of todays fall.

Ian for those stating earlier today that part of todays fall may have been been down to a bad overall market day the Dow Jones and other American indices have turned on their head after the UK closed and shot upwards. Dow up 500 points so hopefully pointing to a better week next week.

I think maybe some on here are paying far too much attention to ML. Sorry to hear the judgement went against him. Down to him and not DARK. If he is the intelligent man that I think he is then most of his assets will have been transferred to Wife and family or will be in a trust or offshore untouchable.

As for the Home Secretary imho she will let it lapse and then probably decide in hos favour. The case involves a UK registered company listed on the UK stock market and headquartered in the Uk and subject to UK takeover codes, UK law and UK sovereignty. Already been investigated criminally by the SFO and they decided not to prosecute. Big difference between the standard of proof in criminal cases (beyond reasonable doubt) versus that in civil cases (on the balance of probability). In any case a decision not to extradite stops things dead or if she decides to ultimately go with extradition, ML appeals and its a further year.

In the meanwhile DARK gets on with delivering results, new products and new contracts.

Like I said earlier confidence seems to be returning.
