Price of copper back above $4lb, Cusp of a deal on the JV, Cash injection from JV, Botswana assay results due, Casa deal looks nearly done, Further possible licence in Zambia, Colin Bird still rinsing XTR!! Troll's filtered. ATB everyone.
Namibia seems a long shot at the present time. We've still got the possibility of another smaller licence in Zambia being offered to us? Botswana and the JV is plenty for now. Don't forget the impending Casa deal still to complete (Xmas wishlist for me). Don't know or have come across a junior on AIM that is focused on Namibia, there will be some that are there already. We need to get two deals done, JV and Casa then work on Botswana. AIM mining is hampered with delays, permits, drill rig contracts, aeromag surveys, 2D/3D seismic interpretation, assays results, licence renewal, weather etc etc. Just having two licences and a possible third is enough for now, could be proven wrong? The appetite for Namibia seems out of context, with the companies strategy of acquiring licenses close to a large producing mine? Much prefer Botswana, JV and a further license in Zambia, it makes a better fit. Company has enough with Botswana if indeed Ruffles is true to his tweet. Anyway World Cup final is today, so have a drink and enjoy the game.
Guess Nick was right saying "Zambia is the Switzerland of mining". Now late to the party, XTR have done a JV on a small scale licence in Zambia with a local company! What happened to the Australian asset that was going to sell for $ hundred of millions? Lmfao at that man and his strategy for long term value for shareholders! Just do some work, doesn't work out, then buy another asset. Lifestyle at its best, will be sub 1.6p in the new year. Glad we got a very attractive deal with AAL. End of.
Found the grades, measured and indicated is 2.1 and 2 % copper and 19.6 and 28.1% silver. Inferred is 1.5 and 18.7 %. So nice grades there, the rescource is still being drilled to move more rescource from inferred /indicated to measured.
Khoemacau copper mine has a AISC of $1.80lb of copper. It's not a very big rescource, 2m+ tonnes of copper and 1m oz of Ag. But its costs were $400m+ to production and $550m+ to expand the capacity to 100k+tonnes of copper per year. 22 years of mine life, and 3 large underground stopes to mine from. Grades are not mentioned /can't seem to find that bit of info? But with low costs to mine, $1.30lb C1 costs, should be 1%+ grades of copper. A nice producing mine with expansion plans to increase from 60k-100k+ tonnes of copper. And with a private equity firm owner, a possible future sale cannot be ruled out? Plenty of Juniors hunting for similar geology in the Kalahari belt. KAV, ARCM, GLR, to name a few, and Sandfire resources.
Some people can't help themselves, via lecturing to other people about their investments? Why don't they just look at their own investments before "Barking" at people who are fully researched. Now who said Arcm to 1.6p? Maybe XTR gets there instead, how IRONIC if that actually happened before end of the year?? Hmm we can have at least one wish for Xmas?
My own take is that AAL will drill the edge of the anomalies and then drill 100m apart across the strike areas. Just to get an idea of the varied mineralisation over the deposits. Thus covering larger areas, and quickening the process of finding paydirt. Once they have covered the main targets (there's a few), they then decide to start negotiations on the 30% they don't own? Infill drilling of 25m apart will be done after they own 100% of the licenses. Just my opinion, could be wrong.
Prefer Arcm's licenses as its real and simple. No multi projects, to confuse investors. Just simple and clear to understand for even a novice. Zambia JV with a major AAL, Botswana 75% interest plus $5m payment to increase to 100% ownership. Zambia 70/30 to AAL when deal completed. Free carry for up to $74m on drilling costs and $14.5m milestone payments from AAL. Thus money to be used on Botswana licenses as and when needed. Casa deal still pending (pain in the ****). 3m Tingo shares and a NSR on future Casa production. Any further licences in Zambia is speculative for now, but can't be ruled out? Easy to understand the company from a investment point of view. Drill, hit paydirt and we gain economic value on the licenses.
Who said I was fixated with Colin Bird? If the facts are in the rns's, then do your own research and ask why the CEO is saying on podcasts that there's more than in the rns's. He knew that the resource wasn't going to be 2m tonnes, he just lied to his shareholders in podcasts. Most people on the XTR bb have a certain amount of information and intelligence. They should have known that the grades didn't add up? Not my fault that the sp has tanked. And the bod rewarded themselves with share options recently. Go figure!
Jubilee, CB got kicked out for dubious circumstances that others are more knowledgeable about. GLR has some prospects, but really needs a CEO who is running the company full time for shareholders. Someone younger that can spend their time progressing the companies licenses??
XTR is tanking for a reason SeisNav, and that reason is Colin Bird and his rampy 2m tonnes of copper in the ground. They got some good people on the bb, well researched. But unfortunately they don't like to listen to anything negative about the company / or CB. There downfall is believing CB would be true to his own words? He's 78 years old, lives in UAE, and runs 4 listed AIM companies. You can't run 4 companies and get things done for shareholders. He also likes horses as a hobby, (should stick to horses imho). We might get a 3rd licence, which is enough for us with Zambia JV, Botswana and possibly a separate 2nd licence in Zambia? XTR grades are really poor for what some on the bb said was a "World Class Phorophy". 512m tonnes of 0.22% cueq has been declared. If logic says that grades are what makes a deposit economical? Then they have been pumping /talking too much about what is not in the rns's. The rns's showed very little value in the assays, 0.30-40 cueq with copper and gold. I mentioned it here in the spring that the grades wouldn't attract a buyer. No AAL negotiations, no midcap, zero buyers. Now they are suggesting that they will raise the finance themselves and build a mine!! Jeez you really can't make it up! I give up on some pretty good researchers, who won't believe the facts. Did say to some dual holders in both Arcm and XTR on here in the spring, "sell your XTR @6p and buy Arcm @3.2p". Not going to comment on the way that things turned out, don't like to see people lose money, been there myself. Anyway that's Colin Bird for ya, rinse repeat, ramp podcast, and repeat when wages are due.
XTR rns'd 512m tonnes @0.22% cueq, not quite the 2m tonnes that Colin Bird was ramping in podcasts. We got 400%+ better grades at Cheyeza East and we haven't even explored it properly. Don't like to see investors lose out, but I did warn about believing Colin Bird. We await for Casa update and the cadestre update and the JV signed? ATB everyone.
The Escondida mine in Chile is the biggest copper production mine in the world. North - South 18km via East -West 3km. 54km2 in areas and rich in copper. We got 80km2 in Cheyeza, which is still underexplored? AAL know what they are doing in regards to wanting to sign the JV. Some people who don't know what they are doing, but keep trolling. Guess we finally find out soon enough!! ATB everyone.
Nice find there SeisNav, was wondering where Namibia came into the conversation? I'd be happy if we could have only 3 licenses. Zambia = AAL JV. A smaller additional licence area in Zambia after the updated Cadastre, and the Botswana licenses. It becomes too complicated when you have too many eggs in one basket, we don't want to become a CB type of company. Too many projects and too many distractions is not creating shareholder value. I'm liking the Botswana licenses, as the key target areas are just big enough to be drilled by a junior. But not too small to be dismissed as uneconomical? Jury is out on wether we have paydirt. The Kalahari copper belt is covered by 10-100m of sand, so soil samples are out of the question! Not easy to hone in on mineralised zones of base/ precious metals. The possibility of a smaller licence in Zambia is intriguing. We could get / not something of notable interest, depending on how the updated Cadastre is issued. Everything points to copper projects in the licenses, the bod are only looking for licences in and around producing mines.
This strategy to acquire more licenses, is akin to Remy's thought process more than Nick's, after pushing for the Botswana licenses. Maybe the company is now wanting to explore licenses, via a JV with a junior / midcap /major? Some standard pre-exploration work, and Reverse Circulation drilling to 150m. Then if hit paydirt, negotiate a JV with a partner? Company is evolving and more importantly staying in Africa for its exploration. Interesting to see how it plays out after the cadestre update? Hmm?
Arcm are now looking for more licenses in Africa as a whole? This change of direction is sudden? Small further license in Zambia, Botswana and mention of Namibia. My only concern is how are they going to fund the drill campaign of extra licences? 50/50 with another junior? Zambia is AAL, but any further licensing is up for debate? Botswana is funded by AAL's JV. Namibia is not? Could Arcm have decided to get prospective licences, then do separate deals for each license? Similar to POW metals? We'll have to wait and see what the strategy of the company is, in acquiring licenses and funding them? Not long for the updated Cadastre and JV pending.
I remember RIO pulling out of the Midnight Sun deal, and commented that they may have been given assurances by the new Zambia Gov on future licences in the county? With 100 dormant licences and further reshuffling of licences, they may have put an application in? Nick commented in the last investor call about being offered further licences? Zam Gov clearly have a plan in place to get inward foreign investment into the country. Make of that what you may, but the Cadastre update will reveal all?
Thanks SeisNav, much appreciated.
Missed the agm, anything interesting come out of the meeting? Apart from the rns?
I filtered the Troll's last week. Had enough of the same BS they bring up.. Life is so much better and more relaxing. Why feed them their attention needing craving for personal ego reasons?? I knew as the Cadastre update was approaching, that we'd get these tit for tat comments on both sides of the argument. It's non benefiting to me, so why not try it, you just might like it?? As for Ella 10, didn't she make a grovelling apology to me, when we announced a JV deal with AAL. Says everything you need to know about the Troll. ATB.
