potnak yes I get that, but if an £18m mcap company pays a £15m dividend to it's shareholders, that's not a "small" payment, that's virtually handing back our investment. Obviously I'm not against that, but after all these painful years (2011 on the 4p spike, average now .53p) I'm hoping for the science to come good and everything that would follow from that. Which is a lot more than just getting my money back. Frankly I don't care if that's a buyout at fair value or regular dividends from what would, by then, be a much larger entity. Anyway, as many have pointed out, we're in dream territory again. I'm blaming lockdownitis, hope SAR are the first to come up with a cure! Hypothetically they could pay a special dividend, but for a tiny microcap like ours it wouldn't make any difference. If we suddenly received a £20m stage payment, the share price would increase to reflect that. If the Board then paid £15m out as a special dividend, the sp would fall by roughly the same amount. So I suggest there would be no net benefit to shareholders. I'm wildly optimistic about the prospects for SAR or I wouldn't be invested here, but it ain't going to be paying dividends any time soon I suspect. Hope I'm wrong ;-)

Rishi Sunak brought the word "furlough" back into general parlance during one of his recent briefings. The dictionary definition is "grant leave of absence to" so I guess the govt is wanting companies to use that method of retention for staff and has supported it with 80% of the funding. Not sure how this applies to builder's contractors though.

I agree East. At the risk of being shot down in flames, the Board has waited until the Govt effectively closed construction sites down (other than for health and safety reasons) and has now taken prudent steps to protect the business through what is clearly going to be a protracted slowdown / halt. We have lost our dividend for this year, but hopefully these measures plus the Govt bailout means the company will not need to call on cash from shareholders to keep it on tickover.

Bah, humbug. No wonder our earlier gains have been wiped out. Less Johnsonomics, more BoJonomics (pronounced bodge onomics).

Boris is bigging up the plans to boost housebuilding in PMQ's, let's hope Rishi has some well-worked plans to replace H2B and give TW and other builders a shot in the arm. Fingers crossed.

I'm just speculating really Panch, let's see what the admission document says once it's made available to us (soon, I hope).

It's a fundraising and open offer, so the bulk of the shares will (probably) go to IIs & HNW individuals. Then the rump will be offered to existing shareholders at a small discount to the implied NAV of the new entity. All IMHO of course...

Mid Q4 2019 in my experience could mean anywhere between today & 30th December. Don't fret, it'll come when it comes...

Interesting article in the current edition of Shares Magazine (subscription so can't post link). Rates IWG as a buy. Talks about revenue generated by the franchise model potentially equating to £4.90 - £6.40 per share. Sounds too good to be true?
