zac0_4 I'm also invested in Fundsmith Equity, and SMIT, Lindsell Train, CRUX etc etc but I'm invested here too. I originally bought at 16 1/4p in 2008 and have been buying and selling since then. I don't expect my FE investment to ever match what TW has done for me over the years! Look at the 3-year returns by all means, but don't ignore 5, 10 and more years returns if you want to make a fair comparison.

F1 my first buy in February 2011 was at 4.15p!

Potnak, I had a sell order in at 1.04 (it's a long story, to do with my SIPP & ISA, I won't bore you...). I saw the SP had gone to 1.06 but then got the dreaded email from HL saying the price hadn't held long enough & the sell hadn't been actioned. I wasn't that bothered at the time but gutted now, it would have reduced my average from .53 to below .4. I'm a bit of a fatalist, so I'm choosing to think it's happened for a reason, just hope it doesn't take that long because I'd already spent the proceeds in my mind!

RB, agree with everything you've said there. I hope TW will take this into account when looking at land purchases and focus on more rural locations in need of development.

Baso no, I'm not buying at this level. I've reduced my holding significantly over the past year & will wait for sub £1, accepting it may not come. We've still got to negotiate the second Covid spike, recession, huge Govt borrowing, high unemployment, Brexit etc. etc. so we could well see house prices come under pressure. I need to see what level the dividend will be reinstated at before thinking about adding. Despite all of the above, I'm still positive on the prospects for TW, I've been in here since 2008 so taken the rough with the smooth.

MichelleF1 if, as you say, you are trading (buying and selling shares short-term), then you're in a bear pit and you need to do a lot more reading before throwing any more money in. If you're investing (buying shares for the long haul, say 15-20 years) then I refer you to Potnak's "meh" comment. Many SAR investors have been caught on a spike before, this has been a repeating pattern for the 9+ years I've been here. You just have to sit & wait, hoping that at least one of the many irons SAR have in the fire turns hot. K (I really must change my name...)

What vaccine?? There isn't one yet, because they're doing all the things you've said you'd want them to do. By the time it becomes available, possibly next year if every egg's a bird, it'll be safe.

It's not missing, it's the additional costs of Covid 19 which haven't been offset by house sales. It is, though, the reason for this morning's dramatic fall, because it is very significant as you point out. However, the company is forecasting a more +ive cash position by year end, and the fact they've returned the Govt's furlough money and their full available credit line, and intend to return to dividend payments next year, suggests they're not too concerned about it.

Oh that's interesting Mr. Knight, I think I may have missed that story on the BBC. Would you mind posting a link to it, so I can research the source?

Testing stop-losses set by new shareholders, nothing triggered yet though. They were bound to try this sooner or later, hold tight.

Nearer 10% now. Let's hope it's not bad news, but if it's a positive update should see a decent rise from these levels.

Lordlush, I use the Stockwatch facility from Shares Magazine (AJ Bell) for live pricing at c.£ 33/qtr. You can build virtual portfolios & see live pricing, daily volume, year high/low etc. The fee also includes access to the weekly magazine which is always an interesting read, if slightly biased towards AJ Bell and it's product portfolio. You also get live prices with some brokers if you have your portfolio with them, so HL for example. K

Trouble is, SNG are already claiming a result in that space & we haven't filled in the paperwork for the grant application yet. You can see why some LTH's get frustrated here.

Thanks Thoth2, good to remember why most of us are here. I'll definitely still have SOME when we get to 28p (it'll be in the FTSE 350 & hopefully paying a nice divi by then) but not all of them. I'm just not that brave, tbh.

Interesting the MMs thought SAR was the easiest share to P&D so they could get their hands on some of the SNG money. Wonder what that says about this share? They'll probably look to do the same again, given how easy it must have been.
