Don’t shoot me down but a few months ago on one of the Covid boards the difficulty of buying in the USA was discussed at length. I think due to financial restrictions they can’t just open an account, log in and buy during our market opening time. There are considerable hoops they have to jump through, one way is by them using a registered broker who probably don’t start until 2.30pm our time. Hence wait till the Yanks wake up.
That was my take on the lengthy posts. I may of course be completely wrong.
ST finishes his excellent Clogau summary advising gold grades imminent. I have re-invested today after being out for some years just prior to the Clogau transfer. When are the results expected. Not had time to read through all information available yet. Being a North Walian I am glad to be back. Took some out of EUA to put here for the future.
My take is we are close to a full sale. Installing a new ceo from existing management with his knowledge and experience of EUA will be invaluable to the new owners. DS has already made known he has other irons in the fire and would not be able to devote 100% effort in the future. Once the sale is concluded all others of the Current management Team will not be required. AIMO.
In effect we are an investment company with a 40% stake in SPMP. Our board can only report on what news they decide to release, or anything that materially that affects us like the current share/capital issue.
Some 10+ years ago when I first ventured into share dealing I was approached by “Mitschka Investment “ they quoted a friends name who had passed on my details. (allegedly). I did a rudimentary check my “broker” was very convincing and I invested £5k. After a couple of weeks he rang back to say they had invested my cash in an IPO and sold out at £8k and they were putting this into another placing which became £12k. They were then advising that another interesting investment in a gold mine was becoming available but the minimum investment was £20k. But as they were a preferred investor they could command a 15% discount so if I placed another £5k I would have a £20k investment which would be £50k in a matter of months. Needless to say greed took over and I invested. At this point HSBC rang me to say they were not happy with this company and fortunately recovered my second £5k. They gave me the number of a team in Scotland Yard who were investigating. The end result was they were not prosecuted but they sent me a share certificate for “Grafton Gold.” I assume by issuing this certificate they avoided legal charges. Grafton had an office in Hong Kong but I’ve not been able to get any joy.
As they say “A fool and his money are easily parted”.
Luckily I’ve learnt a bit since then and have more than recovered my loss.
I’m sat here in North Wales now waiting for the big RNS.
I tried the same yesterday, I had an odd 7k here sold them early bought KOD sold with a £200+ profit bought back here before close and ended up with 1200 more EUA shares. I was lucky, if I could do that every day I 'd be over the moon. I was only gambling with about 1% of my holding so no big deal if it failed. Trying again today with FAR.
