Hi Dcat
This is probably my second favourite share (after EUA) and I am looking to add more. I am interested to know why you don't add more now. Does that mean that you think it is going to drop and you will buy then?
Yes, placing at 9p does show that the II's have confidence in this stock. I originally got involved here because of my Pd interest - which they then sold to VO for a pittance. So I bought VO at an average of .33 Canadian$. That is just starting to go into profit, at .36 currently - and hopefully will continue to go up, and will provide some working capital for JAN.
I am glad that introduced me to JAN which I now regard as a star. The high holding of the BoD is a big plus in my view.
I am waiting to see the presentation but that could be another step on making this a multibagger. I have a decent holding at an average of 5p, so am sitting on a sizeable profit, and am very tempted to increase.
Thanks to DCAT for the research he generously shared with me, and generally for a supportive board.
I was watching the realtime prices around lunctime when it quickly went up to around 12p, and I was sure it would carry on shooting upwards. As far as I can see this should be 10x or more the current price - not based on hype as many companies are - but on actual value. I have a healthy holding of around £60k, from starting to buy at 3.5p, but I am debating on whether to throw in more. My other winners currently are OMI and TRX and it is a difficult choice.
I have nearly 5 million bought at 0.6p having cashed in a few, plus nearly 1 million invested for my nephew, having also cashed in £100k for him. I am already retired, and already have enough in here not to wait for the sale - but may as well go for it!
I think the main issue is why it went up. There was no apparent reason why it went up from 2p to 6p recently, on only a few buys per day, and then it shot up to 10p in a couple of hours this morning before halving. There is much we don't know about here. Why would a billionaire invest in a company that does absolutely nothing? I assume it is shell that is going to be used for something. I took a small position a few days ago just to see what happens.
We were having a discussion Sunday afternoon about pledging a percentage of our profits to charity. It is clear we won't be able to agree on which charity, but it would be good if we could get some sort of discussion going about pledges - no committment but just to get people thinking about it.
I am already sitting on a very large profit and hope it will increase a lot more. I am intending to give to a charity for feeding the poorest off in this country - such as the Trussel Trust.
Any ideas welcome. If there is any admin required then I am happy to volunteer.
Lancerman, you may well be right about the problems of organised giving together, however I will keep mentioning it to get a discussion going and to encourage everyone to think about donating a percentage of their profits.
I don't think we should be contributing to Dimitri's hundreds of millions! But we should get a strategy for charitable giving. We should do something jointly, even if we don't all give to the same cause, just to encourage it to happen.
Guyteg. I was coming round to a similar idea.
The TRX board is also running a 'Guess the price' competition like ours but it is linked to an optional pledge to give a certain amount to charity if it reaches a certain price. Many of us could be sitting on very large profits and pledging a small percentage to charity seems only fair. I was thinking of a charity that runs food banks and helps provide food for the poorest, particularly in these strange times - for example Trussel Trust, FareShare or the Sunday Times appeal.

Now to get back to the important stuff - PostmanPorsche. I am thinking of what i will spend my counted chickens on, and I fancy a Macan. You reckon that is a good buy? They are talking about bringing out a hybrid or electric version.
Going back to the original point about transferring cash, you seem to have missed the point. Its not the difficulty of getting the money from HL - its paying it into your bank account. If you haven't set it up the bank will freeze your account until they have ascertained the source of the funds, and that you are not money laundering.
I started buying early last year and was lucky enough to be able to buy into the awful placement to bring my average purchase price down to 0.49p. That means I am sitting on a very nice profit and I really like the look of the chart!
