RE: A Pound14 May 2021 21:56
There is a difference between value and price. We have all worked out how much we think the assets are worth, but more importantly what will the market pay? I think we have a couple of real world indicators. When Alexei Churakov sold at 29p to the Russian II he obviously had inside information which he passed on, so we know at that point it was worth well over 29p.
Despite some good news we have seen that the share price refuses to go much above 29p. We have to assume that there had to be some leaks and the possibility of insider trading, but still there were no large buys before the recent announcements.
Conclusion is that the II’s think that they will get a good premium on 29p – but not massively.
I have always thought that Dimitri would want a 10 bagger on his 5p investment, so I am looking at 50p. You can argue that the assets are worth much more than that, but that is irrelevant if no-one will pay for them.
To my mind the references in the RNS’s make it clear that NorNickel is the buyer, and that the EUA will be left as a significant battery metal producer backed by the Japanese.
My prediction is a 50p dividend leaving a company worth 10-15p. And I would be delighted with that!
