Both CGT and Dividend tax are variable depending on your circumstances. You need to calculate them both for your particualr situation, perhaps taking a mix of the two.

Some very basic misunderstanding of mathematics here! As has been remarked, it can't lose more than 100%.
Reminds me of a story about teachers during the who war were given a paycut of 10%. After the war they were given a 10% rise to make up for it - which left them 1% out of pocket.

Yes I can confirm that it is a really good long walk on the prom at Playa Blanca - several miles. That is our favourite area of the island, though a bit of a drive from the rest of the island if you want to do some exploring. Lanza is well worth a visit and more to see and do than on Fuerteventura.

The arithmetic from those estimates:
60 tons of Gold and Platinum is 1.96Moz (there are 14.6 troy oz in a pound)
Gold is £1348/oz Pt is £733/oz. Say £1000 average, that is approx £2Billion in the ground.

Now at $1958, so recovering quite well.

I know some people think the spot price is irrelevant, but it can't harm having our resources worth more!

What's not to like?

I don't think there was any doubt that the original 'buyer' was NN. There was frequent references to the proximity of the NN smelter in the communications from the board, and then a subsiduary of NN carried out the DD. That didn't go through, as after that the BoD got further offers (RNS 30th Sept and 28th Oct).
SInce then the references to NN have continued, so it looks like the board are still expecting to sell to NN, presumably at an increased price. I have no doubt the terms of the sale will be complicated and that it will have taken a long time negotiating.

An NPV of $1.2Billion is equivalent to 25p per share (EUA own 80%) which is what it could be worth if EUA develops the resource itself.

The top price paid for a sale is about half the NPV, but usually much lower.
Given how many opportunties there are to come for the NPV to be increased many fold, this has to be a very positive indication.
This is a very small part of EUA's assets but is conservatively valued (real JORC valuation, not someone's estimate) at around $1billion. There is no longer any doubt that EUA is a serious player.

Calpos - I think the trigger was the tweet about the WK flanks, though that isn't of itself significant compared to the other resources. Then there is a lot of excitement about the upcoming Moscow conference.
I think the point is that we know this is undervalued and it only needs a spur to get it moving in the right direction. Lets hope it isn't another false dawn.

I would be delighted with £1, but the current price is amazing.
Back in 2000 I had a wonderful time during the dot com boom. I remember being on holiday in Thailand and on each of two days I made a paper profit of £9k (which I did later cash in). That seemed unreal.
Today, I made a paper profit of £206k. Just unbelievable.
