I personally feel no government really does not know what to do. I hate all the restrictions but realise that if Covid-19 was allowed to spread naturally and we all lived and travelled as before it would not be a pretty site. But the world economy will tank if we carry on as we are now with all the terrible consequences this will bring.. So yes a vaccine is probably the answer and actually a cheap one in relative terms for governments. But backing the right vaccine is the million dollar question. I see no reason why we should not get tens of millions more funding if early results are what we expect with Covidity. This is going to a very tough winter for all and as Covid-19 spreads again and there is a panic anytime gets a heavy cold and with resulting stress on the testing system and the resulting stress on resources at work due to people regularly quarantining , the quest for a vaccine will become more and more desperate. Of course the bet here is Covidity is the solution and wow if it is.

I say this that the new drug announced today had not been talked about until today. With some questions over the Oxford trial it makes sense to keep things under wraps until more is known
