I'm of the opinion that JM should step down too, but not leave the company, just move sideways, or down a peg, become Chief Technical Officer or something. Get him to switch from his suit back into his overalls and get back to working with Bernard at QRF. I agree with the statement that he's the world's leading emulsion fuel expert, but that doesn't make him a good CEO or salesman, it's two completely different jobs and skill sets. Gordon Ramsay is probably the best chef the UK has ever had, certainly if you count the Michelin stars he's had, that doesn't mean he would be a great ballet dancer though, especially with his size 14 feet.
I asked the following two questions before the last IMC call, they weren't answered in the Q&A, they were obviously just deleted. Maybe a bit too difficult for them to answer, and too close to the truth.
On 1st April last year, during the IMC call for the Interim Results, you were asked 3 specific questions about the constant failure of this company. Your response was "Park that question for a month, come back in May and you can judge me then". Well here we are, more than 15 months later, and you have still achieved nothing in 17 years. Can we judge you now Jason?
Three key skills required to be a good salesman are confidence, good presentation skills and a good sales pitch. You have none of these Jason. It's sometimes embarrassing watching you mumble and stumble your way through interviews and presentations. Do you think that might be the main reason why we haven't managed to sign a single commercial agreement in 17 years, having tried in over 20 different countries? You are a chemical engineer, a very good one at that, but you don't have the required skill set to be a CEO or a successful salesman, you're completely out of your depth. There is something fundamentally wrong with this company, and it's not the amazing product we have, so it can only be the people running the company and trying to get it to market, and that's you Jason. Do you agree?
