Quadrise (QED) have at last successfully completed full commercial scale customer trial. It’s for its proprietary fuel technologies MASR and bioMSAR which provide shipowners, farmers, and builders a lower cost and lower carbon alternatives to fuel oil and biofuels. The client, with a facility in Morocco is one of the world’s largest container shipping and cruise liners and uses a lot of’ fuel. The parties will now enter discussions for a long-term commercial supply which should lead to revenues. There is no turnover and the loss before tax from the June 2023 year end increased to £3.62m. In July £1.9m was raised at 1.25p and added to existing cash gives an estimated £3m and 9-12month runway.

Comment: At 1.2p with an £18.5m mkt cap the ‘forever’ time scales and lack of certainly makes this very speculative.

After the initial 6 buys in the first minute, I think it went into auction for about 10 minutes, I couldn't get an online quote to sell even 10,000 shares. After 2 minutes of trading, it looks like it's gone back into auction again. I can see this storming through 2p today.

I never had any doubts about the MSAR part of the trial, it's been tested to death in Lithuania, Seago Istanbul, etc, but this line in the RNS is very important, and a massive achievement -

"This was the first demonstration of bioMSAR™ in an industrial application."

Jason Miles successfully hits a deadline, a day to mark in your diary. There's a first for everything, I suppose, it only took him 18 years!!

Well done to all the team at QED, we got there in the end. Let's hope today's RNS is followed up by Utah tomorrow and MSC on Friday, that would make next Monday's AGM a very jolly affair.

We must be due some news soon on the recent bioMSAR testing too, and Utah, and Panama, and Blend-on-Board, and maybe Asia. So much potential news, but the radio silence continues like always.

Sod Morocco, I want to know where this MSC RNS is. If we are going to start the trial in Q1 next year, it has to come very soon. Or will Jason sneakily change Q1 to H1 during the AGM presentation, hoping that nobody will notice, but obviously meaning Q2. They've done that before.

I bloody hope so, it was almost 34 months ago we signed the JDA with MSC. Imagine if you had come on here in January 2021 and said that 3 years later there still wouldn't have been any MSAR or bioMSAR anywhere near an MSC ship, you would have been crucified, shot down in flames, given absolute dogs abuse. Yet here we are, nearly 2 years and 10 months later, and still the wait goes on. It's absolutely pathetic.

But we must be close, extremely exciting times for the company, we've never been closer, watch this space, news is imminent. YAWN.

A 20% increase, yet he could only find 5 grand to invest during the last Open Offer. Mrs Miles must have very expensive taste in shoes and handbags.

On the other hand, Andy Morrison has bought just over £40k of shares in the last year and a bit. As well as QED, he has another 4 active employment roles as a director/chairman, so he will be well into the top tax brackets. His basic salary here is £72k, take off 40% tax, that leaves just over £43k. So he has invested more or less 12 months of his net salary in QED shares, hats off to him for that. At least one of the board is putting his money where his mouth is.

He needs a better spell-checker, some lessons on basic grammar, and someone to teach him how to construct a coherent and legible sentence.

I didn't realise until recently that she had worked for Shell for more than 20 years. She still works for their Alumni Network.

There was an update from Ecoteq Energy a couple of weeks ago.

They are working very closely with Valkor, someone spotted that their chairman Gerry Bailey was actually sitting next to Steve Byle at that last DOGM meeting regarding the Hoodoo dispute. Ecoteq are close to finalising funding for their first plant in Utah, I wonder if Valkor's funding for their wells is also related to this. They might not get it in time to drill before winter, but an extra $1.5m in the bank would be nice for QED.

There must be a good chance that Ecoteq will also be producing MSAR as an end product, they talk about a marine and heavy diesel product on their website.

I hope the bell end who decided to cancel the MSAR trial and go exclusively with low sulphur fuels is one of them.

It looks like they might have been back again this morning for another chunk. Just a guess, but the first 2 trades a minute apart add up to £25k. Maybe HaggisMcRamper's long-lost auntie died recently.

John took decision to not waste money proceeding with our one AC OIL pilot well, BUT we will take part in the future unitisation programme with HSO (they will proceed with their 3 x pilot wells on their own).

The unitisation permit to drill has not been given yet. If not got by Oct then it's fairly remote they'll be able to drill before end March next year (due to weather). Cost for one well is over $800k.

The VLS share price was above £2.30 nine years ago, now below 0.3p a share, ouch. That's even worse than the first true love of the haggis chap, Stanelco, that went from 28p to 0.1p, despite his 8000 hours of incessant ramping.

So it looks like another 4 or 5 months delay on the Utah project may be on its way. Jason can blame the weather again, lack of rain in Panama and now too much snow in Utah. We should try and persuade John Kettley to join the company as a NED, his knowledge might be invaluable.

Nobody knows. A HNWI or someone with more money than sense.
