Maybe my mind's playing tricks on me Metatron, I thought you said you were a guitarist in a successful band, with a name that quite a few would recognise. I’m sure there was a guessing game going on at one point, trying to work out who you were.

I wonder what happened to the old sailor crew, was there not TheOldTrout and two or three other users with shipping related monikers, captain or skipper or something? Given the time that's passed, it wouldn't surprise me if a few of them are now sadly departed.

That comment about blue chip got me thinking, what's the minimum market cap for a company to be considered blue chip? A quick google search gave a mind-boggling answer.

So even after a bit more dilution for a fundraise and all the BOD's options being exercised, Jason's predicting between £4.50 and £5 a share minimum. From a starting price of just over 1p. That was some statement at the AGM. I'd be more than happy with 80p myself. I'd be over the moon at 50p.

This must be an absolutely massive help for QED. The costs are being introduced gradually over the next few years, but it emphasises why we need big partners to scale this up rapidly and exponentially for the start of 2026, when the trading system hits 100%.

The effect of the regulation could be profound.

Engineering firm Yara Marine Technologies has suggested the EUA cost could end up at more than half the cost for bunkers on intra-EU voyages, once the regulation has been phased in and as EUA prices rise.

The most immediate effect will be to add to the impetus to invest in any technology that can help reduce bunker consumption.

Sales of biofuel bunker blends and green fuels can also be expected to rise over time in response. Both of these alternatives are rated at zero CO2 emissions for the purposes of the EU-ETS.

It wouldn't surprise me if they jump back on board after MSC complete the bioMSAR LONO. Or could they do the unthinkable and roll-out MSAR in the interim, using the partial LONO from the previous trial? Now that would do a lot more than just blow the bloody doors off.

Q36: When the MSC trial begins, will MSAR still be included? Are we still going to do a POC for both MSAR and bioMSAR, followed by LONOs for both fuels?

The MSC trials will initially involve POCs using both MSAR and bioMSAR, and a LONO on bioMSAR. MSAR already has an Interim LONO assigned to it on the Wartsila Flex-96 engine.

So they are still doing a POC on MSAR, but no LONO, because they already have an Interim LONO, which we know is the trigger point to begin discussions for commercial roll-out. So if the MSAR POC is successful in Q2 (it's an odds-on certainty it will be, a formality) are they then going to go commercial with it in the marine sector? It would explain why they have already started talking to investment banks and looking for commercial partners.

Did anyone else notice our new product mentioned on page 7 of yesterday's presentation, MSAR® Zero, it must be related to Steve Byle's many CCS projects. I think it's the first time I've seen it mentioned.

Is that Lionel bloke not 46G who posts on here? He's been posting the same negative stuff about funding on here for weeks, while at exactly the same time admitting to having sneaky £10k top-ups. Has anyone sussed his game plan yet?

Shell are MSC's decarbonisation partner, it would be great to see their name on the December fuel agreement RNS, that would get a few heads turning.

CousinPavlos, the last we heard, they were going to do a POC on both MSAR and bioMSAR first, then LONOs. Now that the MSAR LONO is no longer mentioned, I'm hoping this means if the MSAR POC is successful they will then immediately start discussions for commercial roll-out. An Interim LONO is the trigger point for those discussions, and we already have one for MSAR from the Maersk trial.

"Valkor remains a wild card."

So Valkor are expecting funding by year end, if TOM can miraculously get funding, it will be by the end of the year or early Q1 24, and Ecoteq Energy are expecting funding soon too. There must be some sort of connection between all these.

It's the usual two steps forward, one step back from QED. A pretty positive read in general, but the MSC trial is pushed back to Q2 next year, as I expected. I suppose it would be too much to expect Jason to hit two deadlines in a row. The $1.5m from Valkor is crucially important for the finances, fingers crossed they do get their funding before the end of the year.

What low sulphur horse? More than a third of their fleet is now fitted with scrubbers. Given that they will be the bigger ships, the ones with the highest fuel consumption, at least half of Maersk's annual fuel must now be high sulphur HFO which is scrubbed on board, probably more than 5 million tons a year.

So much for installing one or two scrubbers, just to understand how they work.

Maybe we're going to use cow and sheep droppings as a feedstock, emulsify them with water and some special Nouryon chemicals to produce our new sustainable fuel bioMSARbrown, which will be used to fuel tractors and combine harvesters. Fingers crossed for an MOU with Jeremy Clarkson before the AGM.
