This will be a profitable contract that is not now on a framework -

CPI bid for multi M pound contracts recently with DWP and didnt get any - I was actually happy about that as it backed their statement that they were only looking to take profitable contracts with a min double digit margins

No idea why the did an RNS for the tiddler last week or so with tesco, but this will have the margin the busness wants

Much tighter controls on cost and new big hitter bids director and CFO wont be looking at adding contracts for turnover basis - they know its the retained profit that will count

But this contract doesnt even start until next year!

Passwind - good to see you are gaining in confidence with CPI - saying it will be around this level end of the year - no risk of losing money then as last few days you saying they going bust!

Same fundamentals to me - seeing JL deliver what they had started for 2020 in Q1 is all I need - dont need this to be 2quid i take my ,5M profit in chuncks over next 9,12 15 mths - doesnt matter to me when.

With a bit of luck a couple of my my risky investments will pay off - one or 2 may collapse, but take .5M profit from those and 2021/22 will be a nice Million quid investing profit.

Nonsence - need get the hedge over and copper stay high, then yes end 2022 early 2023. I hold similar value RMM as I do here

RMM is more risky. CPI is safest undervalued share on FTSE250 that isnt Covid deflated.

Most (respected) analysts have CPI in 80-100 range for end of year - deliver the on target 200-225M profit for 2021 and Mkt Cap at 10 times earnings has CPI 1-1.20.

They didnt make it easy for everyone to understand last years profit, but politically, having taken furlough cash and some CV19 contracts, they didnt want the headlines of "Oursourcer makes 116.5M profit whilst taking Govt support"

See Times article only reports profit at 65.2M (which was the profit on continued operations only) and just ignored the 51.3M CPI made on ESS to 31 Dec 2020.

CPI will have another 10-15M ESS profit in Q21 2021 to add to the mix before the sale was done

Relaxed with my 220 grand Ive got in here and the profit Ive made on CPI since last summer

we dont actually have debt! That has gone - its what maybe required to speed up the ramp up of the mine

That tells us very little - just because it isnt registered (or under the level to register) - shorting happens all the time without being shown here

SP is irrelevant in comparison to another Co's SP - its all Mkt Cap that matters -agreed they are a load of tosh, but businesses are very different and different funding

Close Period doesnt just reflect timing or results announced, its any material matter - so a disposal would also have a closed period

I think SM was however describing the period before H1 financials are issues formally in Aug with all the H1 / Yr End comparatives - something less specific and not profit, but around vol of contracts won, estimate of turnover (range) etc

But its good that they are going to publish info - it can only help

JG68 - I understand it that we should get a general performance update ahead of the full H1 results in Aug

Hopefully it will be in conjunction with a disposal news -but sounds like they know they need to provide some good news formally before Aug

Aug 1/2 yr results should be good - this is likely the last time Sandbar / Schroders can dance this tune at these levels
