I had you as a relatively intelligent poster too until now but you clearly fail in basic reading with understanding.

Am I comparing Kier PLC situation to SXX at any point in my post? Am I even attempting to link these two or better, mention SXX in a single sentence or title of the post?

I am just giving a general example of what the new placing does to SP. That's it. If you interpreted it as a comparison then it is nothing more but....your interpretation.

I didn't ask you to respond to it either.

Chesh, I was referring "reading" the future from the charts...A to piss you off even more:

"If it snows on Christmas day it will snow, until it stops... Unless it keeps snowing, then it will keep snowing... More snow may indicate that it will continue to snow until it stops but less snow may indicate that it may stop snowing until it potentially starts again... If it keeps snowing beyond 1ft it may continue towards the 2 ft level unless it stops before this point, it may then snow more or melt back to 1ft... If it melts below 1 ft then it may melt completely unless it snows some more...

With or without the chart, every eventuality is covered to enable the 'correct' reporting when hindsight is attained... Generally accuracy hovers around the 50% mark which coincidentally equates the the 2 directions it can go... "

They are issuing 33 new shares for every 50 existing share as part of the rights issue.....The investors snapped up only 38 percent of the new shares.....

Charts lie.

Depends on the deal I guess. If it's infinite one (like the one we already have in place) then yes, if it's more reasonable one for instance agreed for a certain period of time (e.g.20 years) then yes too, but temporarily + dilution would be more damaging to SP (and forever)

People mistakenly compare that extra $600mln to potential future revenues and think "this is not that much".

Wrong. Dilution today will have a huge impact on the future SP and annual dividends over the whole life cycle of mine. Damage to shareholder value will be irreversible and we will pay dearly for that in the long term. Every mln not raised via new equity counts.
