Well, I guess it depends on one's point of view. I am personally pretty far from "thanking our stars" for not being "wiped out" to date and have a slightly higher expectations when it comes to their performance. I don't consider avoiding going into administration as a particular achievement either.

You can praise your dear leader Chris the Greatest all day telling wonderful stories about integrity, family and Yorkshire accent but the reality is that so far he diluted company to a ridiculous level of ~10bln shares without even fully securing Stage 2 funding and thanks to April's decision by BOD led by him to pursue the Alternative Financing Proposal we are where we are. These are facts.

I just hope he knows what he's doing. Do I have 100% trust in him after what I've seen to date? Absolutely not. Don't get me wrong, he does a great job when it comes to build progress. Unfortunately I can't say the same about his performance in the area that was suppose to be his expertise.

(just my personal opinion - don't eat me alive, I know how much you love him)

Insider trading happens on a daily basis in the City & rest of the world and is proved almost impossible to successfully prosecute individuals accused of it. The regulator (FSA), if they decide to do anything at all, relies on some laughable fines instead . Tons of information are exchanged every second, nobody really controls it. It's not even a wild wild west out there, it's a barbaric middle ages.....They will eviscerate you in a blink of an eye with the touch of a button.....

Do some people know a little bit more than the others about Sirus' current situation? Of course they do. Will they profit from it? Of course they will. Are they going to ever be prosecuted for that? Extremely unlikely.

Follow the money. That's your best bet.

True, contractors going bust possible but at least the will be paid by Sirius on time providing money's there? That should help. Cost & materials increase also possible + raising additional funds if something goes wrong isn't great in recession is it? (Chris will find the way though - he can always 'print' more shares..)

if the economy is seen to be slowing or fear of a recession it usually means that investors are more risk averse and are opting for more secure and stable investments/bonds, rather than higher risk higher reward junk bonds on companies with a higher risk of default (compounded by the company working through a recession)

If you think about it Sirius in its current state is actually less risky during recession - assuming they will sell the bonds and secure all the money they will simply be using available cash to build the mine while other well established businesses will face a falling demand, drop in consumer spending & sales resulting in emergency cost & staff cuts, liquidity problems resulting in increased debt, interest payments etc

Sirius should be fine in the coming years if they secure ST2 funding.
