Nope Aubery. I personally think he doesn't and he's in over his head now. Probably he doesn't have much to tell us at the moment, his current moves may be much more limited than most of you here think. One lesson we should have all learned from being invested in Sirus is this: whatever Chris Fraser indicates / intends / plans / hopes for - expect significantly worse / less.

Yup, exactly. I mean let's think about it for a second and imagine that you are a well established company / conglomerate with a tons of money, knowledge, reputation etc. assessing the current situation and considering an involvement. You are also fully aware that you are in the position of power. And the less general interest there is the more power you will have. Now (hypothetically) , if you are aware that there is no other parties seriously interested in the project and you are shrewd enough (and trust me, they are) then you would probably want to wait a little bit longer, wouldn't you? Play it wise to maximise your gains and perhaps let it slowly suffocate for a while until they will literally start begging you for life, right? At the end of the day it's probably only another 100 days or so until uncertainty will really start pushing it down to the rock bottom and from your perspective you really want to make sure that you don't unnecessarily overspent....Anyway, my point is - why the hell would you even think about paying for something you can have almost for free in the relatively short period of time? Right? The answer is - you wouldn't. And that's exactly what's going to happen if there is only one interested party. Our "saviour" will rip us apart taking the lion's share for next to nothing just before the closing bell....The only chance for the company (and the SH) now is some sort of competition between two (or more) interested parties (if there are any) resulting in a bidding war / making increasingly higher offers. Otherwise we are done.

Actually, at these levels (around 2-3p) SXX is becoming a really interesting gambling (I repeat: gambling) opportunity...this is so sensitive now that any little rumour (even untruth) could easily cause it to e.g. double or triple in a relatively short period of time so if you bored of bookies....

I agree but what did you expect from naively agreeing a conditional deal with a top crooks in the City effectively giving them a licence to cause the a huge damage to SP / valuation of the company whenever they wish? "On the best effort basis" deal should have never been signed or approved. If they couldn't reach the agreement they should have launched "strategic review" months ago not when the damage is caused and they are up against the wall. And why wasn't reducing the high risk associated with certain elements a priority from the very beginning? They knew well they would be approaching debt markets in order to raise crucial funds at some point. Who manages that circus? Oh, I know who - the media guy...

How desperate, deluded and detached from reality does one have to be to even remotely consider Government support as a viable possibility now...? Stop living in the past, it's over. They are not interested. Nobody's coming to rescue Sirius.

I took some time to make a complain to Managing Editor of Daily Mail about the sensationalistic article published last Friday selected and worded to excite the greatest number of readers and viewers and encouraging biased impressions of events rather than neutrality. Below is the reply I received....

Thank you for your email regarding our article about Sirius Minerals.Having looked into this matter, I’m afraid I can’t agree that it was inaccurate. At no stage did we say that Sirius Minerals ‘will’ quit the stock market – instead we said that according to its boss, it ‘could’.
As you will have seen, this was based on what Sirius Minerals CEO Chris Fraser told our reporter, namely that ‘where we are now, I think we might be better off being a private company’; that ‘being public served a very valuable role in the early phase’ and; ‘as we see it today, there’s potential merit in being private simply to get away from the capital markets.’
It is also worth noting that we have had no complaint from Sirius Minerals about the accuracy over reporting Chris Fraser’s comments.
That said, we have added a footnote to the online article to reflect what Sirius Minerals has said since the article was published, namely that there is no ‘intention’ to take the company private. You may have also seen that we followed up on the story in today’s paper.

Yeah maybe...depends on your strategy. Some high risks bets are worth it, some are the only way to really make it if your principal & time horizon are limited. Diversification is for rich in my opinion, for those who want to preserve rather than multiply..

They aspire, aim, indicate, plan, intend....and always end up somewhere else. ST2 was supposed to be 100% debt. Then we had dilution, now we don't even have ST2.
I didnt have intention of going out last weekend, then met a friend and ended up in a random location at 4am. Happens. Let's wait for the news at the end of the month. Oh no wait, Chris was only "hopeful" it will be at the end of the month....

Ironically, that piece of s***t coming from Daily Mail on Friday did us all a favour:

- The company actually confirmed that there is no intention to take the company private (at least for now) thereby officially eliminating one of the speculative scenarios and narrowing down the unknown,
- The article finally caused a immediate reaction / communication which is a good thing - Sirius team to date was far from great in this aspect. A lot of uncertainty in the past was simply caused by Sirius' poor communication with the outside world.

Fraser should really shut the f**ck up and focus on the job in hand instead of talking to media. His public cries, disappointments and complains clearly don't serve the company well. They also create an opportunity for cheap journalism / misinformation. That doesn't mean reducing his public exposure. Quite opposite, communication with the outside world should definitely be MORE frequent BUT conducted via experienced team of professionals in this field. Sirius could have benefited from it in many forms a long time ago, we are living in the Information Age for f**ck sake. Media / Internet can kill you or work in your favour big time.

Of course it is. After his multiple failures to deliver the funding package and disastrous drop in share price over the last couple of years he now decided to blame literally everybody and everything around but himself....Misjudgement resulting in major cost increase and misallocation of available funds resulting in failure to de-risk the project sufficiently before approaching capital markets for the money, dilutions, helter skelter form 52p to 3p, multiple leaks, disastrous conditional deal with JPM, failure to sell the bonds, limited options, despair, frustration, now potential de-listing.....And the CEO of the company openly washing his hands of all of it in public.

He's probably well aware he he will need a bl***dy good explanation in the coming month(s)....
