I think it's fair to admit the figures we are looking at are historic - so the next results (due soon?) will help clarify matters... investors here know the risks - the share price confirms the risks - but this company hit rock bottom many years ago and recovered .. over time... the company is at the bottom of the cycle .. so it's recovery or bust... fundraiser222 - are you buyxxxx - from the other BB site? Same 100% negative comments - no company has only positive points OR negative points. OK... the negatives are that the company is loss making (looking at the last results) .. no sign of being back in profit yet.. however margins were up and cash is still apparently significant... if you can name 1-2 positives.. then at least we can see you are looking at the entire picture here too...

Cash outflow in the last reported six month period was -�418k. Cash held � 6.8 million. Lets say the company outflow has worsen by four fold to �-1872k .. than would still leave cash at �5 million - so no immediate risk to the company - of course if trading has worsen significantly then cash will fall faster but the fund raise was obviously made in good time.. also one of the Directors will stay in his position until a suitable replacement is appointment. Agree two directors leaving is unusual but no one in such a position stays in the job indefinitely.. I just personally fell the share price is oversold but sentiment across the retail sector is dire isn't it?

Why don't you read the half yearly report or trading updates...? Cash is CLEARLY shown as � 6 million. Obviously it may now be lower but I reckon cash is still higher than the current market value. Do you not agree that the company does not have debt or need a fund raise any time soon? I repeat - a turnaround is needed - but surely the share price has factored ALL the bad news in?

I wonder if Bargain Booze had �5-6 million in cash to help survive the downward cycle and get through to better times? IMO the share price is oversold (unless there is someone no one knows or it's a bad reaction to new year trading/directors leaving).. I don't think the company is going into admin any time soon BUT obviously a turnaround needs to happen sooner rather than later

How did any one posting effect the trading of the company or the shares since October 2014 up to last month when Whetstone started on Britdaq?? Some people should think before posting imho. Btw there has been just as many re positive views as those with negative views. Ditto all threads

Quick scan - some positives - some negatives. Cash as at 31st December � 1.5 million. Current cash position � 1.27 million - so about � 80,000 per month cash burn. Suggests they have a little more little to convert subscribers into extra revenue and cut overheads further ... still a very close call ... and a further fund raising (if possible) looks likely before the end of 2018. Hopefully the share price might recover a tad from here..

...at the moment... the game plan is obviously to acquire assets ... probably by issuing shares and making the company more liquid .. and moving to a proper exchange... the risk is that shareholders are diluted .. eg. coal is a good buy but it runs in cycles and isn't what I would call "the future"... but for the short term .. as good an asset as any..

No, we should dedicate this forum to you ... able to keep the thread going long pass its sell by date... able to mention the same posters (some of who no longer even post on LSE) 1000 times (are you on commission?).. unable to let go... move on... just for the sake of my sanity... why are you obsessed with the shares? There are many others that you can go on and warn others of... your services are now needed ... elsewhere!!

I am not saying you do not have a point ... however it was only two months earlier that the current cash position was stated as � 1,7 million (end of November).. we are due results - probably Thursday - so an current update is very likely.. the cash position now is probably around �1 million - if a lot less - I would be worried...

Last point.. all I am trying to do is open up some debate... tbh I am not clever enough as some to be able to pick holes in arguments or paste links etc. not got the time either... so I ask again.. why should we get excited about Flagship? A totally separate company? If it's because it shows the potential of any deal here - fine, that's a good enough reason and I tell you one thing - IF I was holding the shares - (maybe - maybe not) - I would HOLD for news in my opinion - no point doing anything else especially for all those waiting this long gl

You know what I mean.. some were buying Flagship shares months ago and (at the time) no one could find out why - now we know... also are you really saying that no one in the What's App group is any wiser than the rest of us? Really - if so, then what was the point of the group? There have been many posts (mostly over the dark side) saying nudge nudge wink wink - news is due.. some hinted at news just a day or so before the Flagship news. Isn't it just possible that one or two of the large parties or backers or shareholders actually post on this BB? I reckon so.. hence my "insider" term

That is not accurate - and you know it.... at the last update cash was over a million (�1.3 million is I recall rightly).. what is true is that cash burn continues and that probably by the end of this year the company will run out of cash unless either there is yet another placing or the business shows significant improvement. We know overheads are being cut .. but tbh the best hope for the company is a tie up or arrangement... at the moment it will be tough to say the less to have another fund raise..

I guess the answer is that some posters do not like rampers giving out misinformation (although to be fair I don't think this has been the case here)... Ditto some do not like derampers attacking their investment - although I think it's "fine" to say if one reckons a share price is over valued (or still a buy).. not everyone has all the answers here but if any "insider" will like to clearly explain why Flagship should effect Whetstone - at this time - it will be welcomed and help to clear questions up!!!

Good news for holders. Rare that a company sp rises on news of a deal of a totally separate company but everything is unique about the events here. Why didn't Whetstone get this deal? Tie up later?

Sorry but saying shorters should be shot is crossing a line... I have never shorted a share in my life and probably never will... however if x share suddenly goes up 200% - isn't it appropriate that their is a way to say "this company is over-valued and I will to take a position saying so" via a short? Agree shorters can effect a company performance and rules should be tighten but occasionally they get it right eg. CLLN. If you think a share is undervalued - you buy it - talk it up - so why is the opposite view point - so bad? BTW I guess everyone will be buying FLAGSHIP shares tomorrow :-)

Is this a direct deal for Whetstone? Yes or No? If no - then we might as well discuss the latest Next plc trading update - as just as relevant... however, this does prove to me that a cash shell can be involved in a deal involving a coal mine - so will definitely now reconsider buying in here ahead of news. At least with Whetstone we know deal news is deal - Flagship was mentioned a few times as being the alternative to Worthington - some were buying months back.. now we know why...

Please enlighten me... read back.. I'll tell my "story" one last time... traded Worthington several times ... was not a holder when suspended in 2014... picked up on the story about two years ago and got interested (ok far too much).. just found some of the expectations too hard to believe... however been proven wrong re gifted shares.. and ability to trade the shares.. apologies... Happy to invest if the first deal definitely enhances NAV.. ok now all? Sometimes it's best to sit on the sidelines for news.. happy to admit I could have got in at a far lower price .. it's about risk/reward for me.. NO HIDDEN AGENDAS... hope that's clears this matter once and for all

Last point, of course shareholders should not "trash" their investment . However it's different to voicing concerns or saying when events could have been handled better. I was unhappy with the discounted placing on CLP and said so. As i keep saying, only being 100% positive or negative on any investment is plain daft Imo. I mean, do you know these people? If you have been truly happy over the last 3-4 years - fine. Things could obviously not have been handled any better.
