Fair enough. . . My friend in Dublin, pretty much the only one I have and who counts imho, issued that announcement a little over a week ago fully on the back of Origin's material public announcement clearly indicating things were moving forward toward the drilling of the 2 wells. . . Most of us are recognizing that two is seeming more and more like a stretch. . . I'm sitting at the table with WetWater and his crystal ball, and per my first post - at least one well (and just maybe 2, just under the weather wire) - and a big juicy one at that! . . . Said it before, say it again - let's get drilling already!
Quick but important correction - injunctions are issued when there will be irreparable harm that damages cannot adequately compensate for. . . And so on. . . Get drilling already!!!
Possible Gov has been waiting to see if the injunction was going to be issued. It was not. Article seems to indicate Gov can issue EMPs and Origin can move forward but if they lose at trial will be subject to possible damages. I know from my earlier litigator days that an injunction can only be issued if there is a likelihood the party seeking one will prevail on the merits at trial and if they can still have recourse to damages. As WetWater puts it no doubt Origin has a complete and credible record of stakeholder engagement, if that is what the central issue is, which it seems to be. Give me a break. And we all know the vast majority of all litigation settles before trial. Bottom line, looks like Gov and Origin can move forward. This is another sideshow and some noise by the opposition that can be effectively dealt with and very possibly dismissed. Get the EMPs issued, do a world class job setting the standard for drilling and fracking, prove up the wet plays, etc., etc. As stated earlier, seems last weeks announcement still holds despite this nuisance and noise.
Sorry, new to this as you know, was actually responding specifically to RichGreenwood's post (though the others all are good info, except for those I have on filter lol). . . Come on NT give Origin/Falcon the green light!
My thoughts exactly.
This type of engagement is only a good thing. Industry must take the Pepper recommendations and related regulations very seriously, lead by example. Very much learn from the American experience. Work closely with the gov/regulators, make the right moves. . . All stakeholders can do well, and us longtime shareholders of first movers Falcon/Origin well see our due rewards!
Very well put We****er
Thanks. Filters are a good idea and are now on bc I just don't see any genuine value in having to read that nonsense and nonsense is being kind. This is all very real, important to many of us who have big to very big positions and have been waiting too long to get to this very important place . . And to those whose presentation of good info and thoughts that I have come to appreciate and value, along with a decent sense of humor, keep it coming, very much appreciated. Again, all the very best!
My closing got cut off but was obvious and it is:
All the very best,
KMJ
I have been following this board for some time now, and have been a Falcon shareholder for much longer. I have a lot more to say and comment on but am doing so now because I simply do not understand, at all, what Naminanu is doing on this board?! I don't get it. What benefit is there to yourself or other members of this board - if you are in fact a shareholder - in your constant naysaying in the face of credible, reasonable facts, indicators and opinions. Yes, there are always delays with Falcon with the worst being the moratorium. But where we actually stand now, after that ridiculously long delay - It brings nothing other than a degree of unnecessary and juvenile conflict, which I respect other active posters for taking in stride, effectively countering, and in a way having some fun with, which I will not do - I will respectfully leave that to those others who have done so and may want to continue to do so for themselves or on my behalf (nod to We****er, schlemiel, etc).
Falcon and Origin now, finally, are on the verge of a great undertaking. Santos finally gets its EMP, which is objectively, by any reasonable measure, a very positive sign for Origin. It is reported by the Katherine Times and previously in UBS's updated Note (though I still haven't seen the official version of that only what was posted here. . .) that Origin's EMP(s) is/are imminent - and this character has some twisted need to put a negative spin and position, constantly, against these very positive and reasonable sources, which are issued after being fact checked and based on reasonable, credible data.
So, I'll conclude with this - Falcon/Origin will be drilling and fracking this dry season, at least one well and let's focus all our energy on there being two - as has been stated will be the case. And further and more importantly to this - let the results for both Santos and Origin/Falcon only be very positive, i.e. pointing firmly in the direction of commercialization and a successful campaign for 2020. The bottom line for all of us, if we are actually shareholders, is that the share price finally takes off and represents a true and excellent valuation. Importantly, despite the great possibilities for stacked plays that we hope for on the eve of renewed drilling and appraisal on these plays, we need to have a true range of valuation on the known resource of the Middle Velkerri dry gas as a baseline, in the event the wet gas plays don't work out, which we all obviously hope and trust will not be the case. We want them to be successful with every fiber of our beings. But we must know what a true valuation is/will be if at the end of the day we ultimately only have the Mid-Velkerri dry gas play to monetize, and this does take into consideration the Cenkos Falcon note and the UBS Origin note.
I am just putting these thoughts out there but probably will not be a regular contributor, etc. Now's the time, let's get this done and with great success!!!
All the very b
