RestLess think that's a great summary and pretty much exactly how I am thinking. Totally calm with the current share price as I've said before this is a 5 year minimum share. Those that don't have the cahoonas or patience for that timescale of investment should sell up and move on. Some people seem to be under the delusion that the move from 2D based entertainment to this new 3D form will just happen overnight. 2D is far too heavily ingrained in society for it to happen quickly, but the transformation has already begun and we are right at the start of the adventure. People need to just sit back and relax and keep topping up as much as they can afford at these levels. In 5 to 10 years this company can make a lot of patient folk millionaires.

Well if that's the case I stand corrected, was around the number I said the last I looked but must have been a late serge of interest, either way it still gives an indication of potential interest via the Go which at the moment isn't very big. Facebook views reached 82,000 which is a much healthier figure and I have no doubt there will be a huge appetite for the Melody app once VR becomes mainstream, I'm just saying we are nowhere near that yet. Think we broadly agree on the current state of play.

I'm sure many didn't pre-register I didn't myself, my point is that the number of people that did was so small, and when you look at Melody's tiny 3727 followers on twitter, these numbers give an indication of where Melody are at right now in terms of visibility to the general public. To think they have tens or hundreds of thousands of people using their app right now is way off the mark.

It's not suspect I watched the gig live on the Go myself and before it went live it showed a running total of the amount of people who had pre-registered their interest in watching it. Was around 150 - 160 can't remember precise number. Obviously there will have been far more than that who watched it but I was very surprised to see such a low number who had pre-registered their interest. It was their flagship even to date is what I meant, obviously there will be much bigger gigs to come! No need for despondency this is all extremely early, the word is out there now at least.

I agree with Top Stocks. There were only 150 people who had pre-registered interest in watching the FREE Liam Payne gig. And this was their flagship event. Let that sink in. Now obviously not everyone will be interested in Liam Payne and not everyone will pre-register but even still that measly total gives an indication that user numbers for the Melody app are currently like to be only in the thousands not tens or certainly not hundreds of thousands. This is very early days people need to stop getting carried away expecting things too soon. As I have said before this is a 5 year hold for the real value to start to show. Unless there is a buyout of course.

JimmyS I agree about the theatre I watched a bit of Next VRs live showing of the Nutcracker and although it left me flabbergasted that anyone would pay real money to watch that tripe it was a brilliant view of the stage right in the centre of the orchestra which adds a whole new dimension to any performance. Me and the girlfriend are off down to London in March to watch Les Mis for the 5th time, costing us hundreds of pounds with hotels etc. I would love to watch it in VR in centre of orchestra from my own living room. Nothing to say Melody can't branch out into this side of things in the future. Fingers crossed they do!

Not hugely relevant I agree and I too am putting every spare penny I have into these shares at these levels, but they do give an indication as to how quickly this is going to grow and current indications are that it is a very long term hold. I'm fully prepared for a 5 year hold on this, VR is only just beginning and until headsets the size of glasses come out uptake will remain quite modest I believe; owning a Go myself, it is obvious the isolation felt and chunkiness of the headset will put a lot of people off. The phone app is the main hope for quicker gains but on a VR only basis we have a way to go.

Yes that was a clear lie and ill advised. No idea what the numbers were via the headsets but 82K have watched the facebook live stream which is encouraging. Considering only 150 odd people had registered their interest in watching the live show on the Oculus Go I imagine the numbers watching it via the headsets will only be a few thousand. Probably all us investors!

The social media aspect is the one thing I do find disappointing about this company. 3710 followers on twitter is, lets be frank,absolutely pitiful. I can't believe that they have only increased their followers by a few hundred despite all the tens of thousands of views they had during the liam payne campaign. It kind of suggests the message and the actual Melody product wasn't getting through to the fans. I really hope they employ someone in a social media specific role during 2019 to increase traffic onto their site and to communicate more regularly and effectively with the public.

I think telling someone to shut up who says "change management" is a perfectly reasonable thing to do! Some of the imbecilic comments you read on this board are quite incredible! The management to date have played a blinder... in league with everyone they need to be... patience is all that is required. Too many bed wetters on here who can't see the bigger picture.

Smith trader shows how little you know about the company! As soon as content is released the exclusivity period kicks in after which anyone can use the material so makes absolutely no sense releasing 600 artists worth of content to a very limited audience! What an absolute waste of the exclusive licence that would be much better to wait until the full roll out of platforms and regions has taken place! You are criticising things you don't understand much better to stay quiet if you have no clue what you're talking about!

Facebook live now stands at 69,000 views in 36 hours not bad for a first gig when no one had even heard of the company before I'd say! And that's not including VR numbers. what % of these people would be prepared to pay say £15 to watch a live gig? Say a conservative 10% to include only the hard-core fans and melody are making £100,000 per gig (before it's shared out with artists / record labels). Say they do a conservative two live gigs a month that's £2.4 million revenue a year. And that's not even considering VR numbers or pre-recorded content or the special content they have talked about moving forward. Imagine what those numbers could rise to when we're released across multiple platforms in multiple territories and available as a direct link via ticketmaster which will almost certainly come (i believe the tickets for the liam payne gig were issued via ticket master so that relationship is already there). This is a unicorn of thr highest and most beautiful order! All calculations based on absolutely nothing other than my drug addled brain so DYOR etc!

Sharebuy I'm talking about streaming your live view once you've paid for it to a worldwide audience this could easily be done and is something Melody will have to think about for sure as it could dramatically impact on their revenues if they can't find a way to combat it.

I'm not saying someone could watch what I'm streaming on their headset, I'm saying someone could watch it on a streaming site live as you will on your phone or tablet once the Android and IOS app is released. This is what will make Melody mass market, available to anyone who has a mobile phone, so just saying it could be an issue moving forward. The clarity of the Facebook live production was actually far superior to the VR experience though hopefully that will be resolved as better headsets come to market.

just becomes like you're watching it through the phone app, you see whatever I would see through the headset. I recorded the cypress hill gig I bought was no discernible loss in sound quality.

You can pirate it I just did last night! Very easy to live stream what you're viewing through the headset.
