The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I just don't get you reviewing a demo. What you describe is akin to a basic advert - it shows the experience of getting up close with your favourite artists - merely to entice you to download the app like anyone who has an interest in music will do. Fair comment maybe they could have added the jump spot experience into the demo but I think in the scheme of things the demo is a complete irrelevance - the app will speak for itself. Happy to have pointed you in the right direction anyway, let us know what you think of the full Melody experience.
Geordie I really dont get this now... why would you bother watching a "demo" of MelodyVR on your headset when you can just download the app for free and use it in full instead? Doesn't make any sense!
I know the piano act you're talking about - it's Kygo in Barcelona - but that is just a very small offering of the full Melody library - and there are no jump spots on that particular gig as the rooftop is too small. Please check out the rest of the content and update your review.
Yes agreed cash generation now is the only way we are going to see the share price move significantly..... over to you Melody VR!
Sorry Brown Adder but it is not a good effort! I've had an Oculus Go since it was first released, Ive been told the Quest app of Melody is exactly the same as Go app, therefore it is complete codswallop! Geordie have you actually installed the Melody app on your Quest? Have you looked through all the library showing the numerous bands / gigs? My intention here is not to ridicule (as it will always be to a certain resident of these pages) but to inform. Geordie please ensure you have the full app downloaded and try it again?
Geordie I have to be honest your summary flabbergasts me as to its lack of research as you have been on here posting for a while now. That is not to have a go at you as I respect you for buying a headset and giving it a go but I would have expected any serious investor here to have fully checked out the app top to bottom, even if it was via the mobile app to get a handle on what it can do? Surely you cant chuck money at something without a full cognizance of what you are investing in? Well you can but it is not advised! You can view the majority of gigs on the Melody app in multiple camera angles albeit for a very brief amount of time for free to see what kind if experience you'll get before you buy. Stand on the stage, pit left, pit right, centre, back of the stage, in the crowd etc etc. Have you not seen the GMA live action which is free? Or the Wireless festival? Most probably not your style of music but it shows you what the app can do. Please give it another proper go and come back with a more informed review as any potential new investors may be off put by your ill informed review.
Born in '59
Never had a 69
Optimist getting absolutely schooled
With his wicked tongue hes had no one fooled
Went and sold his @ss to a shorter
To make up lies and deramp but now weve all caught ya
Getting mixed up between ya equine pseudonym
If only they hadn't hired someone quite so dim
Maybe their short would've made them some dough
But this figure of fun with his tedious tale of woe
Is good for nothin' but being the bullet board court jester
As tumbleweed rolls as his tawdry comebacks fester
While those in the know rise like kings
As we await the Melody rise on the back of an eagles wings
And at the pound party we all dance, our bank balances reborn
While Optimist takes his beating at the hands of the shorters scorn
What did I ever see in a whelp like you!?
As the flunkies beg for change in the pound party's loo
And suddenly they break out into a full blown fight
As King Ferrisc tosses them a quid whilst taking a ****e
The difference here is accessibility. Of course most people (if they cant get to the game) would rather watch football with their mates on Sky at the pub as its: A) Free B) More social and C) Doesnt involve sat with an isolating headset on where you cant talk to anyone. Not even mentioning VR football is awful currently as you are too far away from the pitch. The difference with Melody VR is that other than going to a gig yourself which is A) Very expensive B) Hassle and C) Often not feasible, there is literally no other way to see your favourite act other than put on an album or watch a music video. And the view from the stage or the crowd is a million times better than it is on VR football. Melody VR are completely changing the rules of musical entertainment like Sky TV did when they started showing live Premier league football. There were no rivals, they had exclusive rights and thus they created an entire monopoly over the game. Similarly in music Melody VR are so far ahead of their potential rivals and have been creating a library of content for so long that a monopoly on the next wave of musical entertainment is almost assured. The phone app is a complete game changer and brings forward the time line for mass market success dramatically and circumnavigates the need for mass adoption of VR itself. Anyone is going to watch their favourite band on their phone in crystal clear quality like they could at Wireless. The only reason your mates haven't heard about this yet is because the marketing isn't even out of first gear yet. Once the live gigs start rolling in on a regular basis and the major artists start tweeting to millions week after week Melody VR will soon become a household name. The tipping point is soon, if you're sat on the sidelines thinking you've got years to wait for this to kick off big time you will most likely miss the boat!
Cracking up here lads seeing horseface outing himself for all to see as optimist what an absolute donut! probably logged in to the wrong account by mistake and replied as horseface instead of the intended optimist! you couldnt make it up what a total clown!!
Little progress? Apart from being available on mobile phones to a global audience and having partnerships coming out of their ears? Vile deramping idiot.
What did you find!?
The 2600% roughly equates to 10,000 extra downloads yesterday (as a minimum)
listed after four weeks? Interim order shall continue till then. what's that mean in plain english?
Pete,
Fair comments but didn't Melody say they have a back catalgue of over 600 recordings? And if they don't think they are ready yet to go full on commercial why the tie up with O2? Aren't they risking putting off all those that subscribe to the VR deal and in turn potentially putting O2 off-side? Surely it is time to throw a lot more of these 600 recordings into the ring?
It's looking faultless so far... lovely jubbly.
Most of the investors I know all had problems last time - barely anyone could access the Marshmallow gig. Shouldn't matter where we are in the world - this is a global app showing global acts - we need to prove we can handle the amount of traffic this will inevitably bring. If they couldn't handle Marshmallow can you imagine what a major act would do to the stream? Hoping to see a big improvement in performance today.
It's being shown at 1.05pm GMT. Let's hope the bandwith problems that blighted the first GMA gig have been resolved!
Embers don't see how we swing that one with the BBC having exclusive rights to Glasto!? Unless we strike some kind of deal with the BBC I guess but can't see it, hope I'm wrong.
What work did you do with them and what is it you know that is round the corner?
This is the stock market for you...... you pays ya money ya takes ya chance. Nothing is guaranteed everyone in here knows that. However the chances are much higher that there will be a deal than not with a world class marketing team on board, if there isn't then the price will drop even more and will rebound back upwards when there finally is one. When you are a long term holder and waiting for the end game these short term fluctuations are a drop in the ocean, your leachcraft is not needed or desired here now off with you worm - go preach your poison on a board where people may take more notice - cos here people are just bored. Your weasle words have no power here!
I've been in this share since early 2017 seen it move both ways in rapid time, with so few shares in distribution outside those locked in by the Directors it is bound to do that. I took 30% profit out at various ranges between 11.5p and 14.9p as was confident there would be a big sell off after FDA news. Wish I'd have sold more in hindsight but that is a wonderful thing. FDA approval was always massively overhyped, it was an important cog in the wheel but no more than that. The contracts were always going to be the real maker or breaker so this declining SP should be a surprise to no one. Personally I'm still happy with it, it's still above the pre-FDA price and I'm still sat on good profit. What I do know is that there aren't many better at getting deals over the line than David Smith - look at the guys history. He said it would be a few months before he expected the first deals to start landing so I fully trust that we will have something soon enough, certainly before xmas. The risk v reward between selling and buying now is heavily in favour of buying - the size of this market is huge and the specialist nature of it means there are few rivals for our business AND we have the global leading Cor-Techs Labs marketing our products WORLDWIDE. This Blueburg pleb can deramp to his hearts content but no one with half a brain will pay him any attention - long term shareholders know what they are sat on here and won't be swayed by cretinous little Grimer Wormtongue toads like him. Two bob profit takers and bed wetters have taken this price down less over-inflated levels - no problem - the time is nigh for the big boy investors to take control again before the first big deal lands... that's when the real sustainable rise begins. Watch and learn Blueburg tick tock tick tock (ps good luck with your short)...
