I watched a bit of NextVRs Nutcracker from the Moscow Ballet and although it wasnt my cup of tea the view and sense of being there was brilliant. I was sat right in the centre of the orchestra so could look around and not only have a prime view of the action on the stage but could also spend time watching the talent within the orchestra and how skillfully they played each instrument. Really added a whole new layer to the theatre going experience, one which it is impossible to get in person. I think this "added value" that VR can provide really sets it out at the forefront of the future of the entertainment industry.

Bloodshot yes I was one of those a few months back discussing the possibilities for getting into theater and so pleased our words have proved prophetic! in terms of football that's already been done via the BBC in the world cup and was a total disaster in my eyes football doesn't translate well to VR at all as the pitch is too big and you're too far away from the action. Has to be something fixed like theatre, boxing, snooker etc.

its makes no sense matchett marketing the product too much yet when their isn't much of a market to sell to. shareholders would be the first to complain if he was throwing millions on an advertising campaign and reaping little reward from it. the free ad campaign with Oculus was a stroke of genius, all he can do for now is position Melody at the forefront of the VR entertainment market and when VR has grown and the time is right this thing will market itself. it's a total nonsense to suggest matchett isn't marketing us correctly it's not the right time to do so... yet.

No matter you've had more than enough opportunity to lower your average at these bargain prices. If you haven't then more foal you! I would say the importance of the phone app cannot be underestimated we know it's available on VR but the target audience there is a few million currently, the phone app can reach out to billions.

What planet have you been living on you complete mule!?? You claim to have held for 3 years yet seem totally unaware the share price was 18p just over a year ago!?? Its been shorted to hell since then which is not Matchetts fault but you could've 18 bagged at that price! Fair enough news flow has been slow since then but this is a tech start up company in totally new industry which is still finding its feet, they've clearly acknowledged this fact in the recent RNS and are changing tact to focus on the much more wide ranging mobile market until the VR market is more fully formed. Give the guys a chance for gods sake Rome wasnt built over night! The solid foundations have been well and truly laid though.

This is the fella who invented the concept, created the company, took it from 0p to nearly 20p, struck exclusive deals with all the major players in the music industry and has established a brand that is now ready to go global via a mobile phone app. And you want him gone!??? Are you mad??? It's not Matchetts fault VR may have been slightly slower to take off than people expected, not his fault that shorters have destroyed the share price, not his fault that NDAs with the worlds biggest companies prevent him from spilling every tiny aspect of the companies forthcoming plans to tiny minded individuals. If you had been in from the start you'd be hailing Matchett a hero, just cos you got on board too late and got burnt don't start calling for his head. It's ridiculous! This is a patience game, those that have it will be in clover holding these shares, those that don't... go sell and lick your wounds!

Totally agree RestLess! There seems to be a lot of people supposedly invested in this share who have no idea about the VR market; it's current state and where it is heading. I would suggest if anyone is investing in this share for less than a 5 year minimum period and expects to get huge returns that they take out there money and rainbow chase elswehere. This company and indeed VR, is in its absolute infancy, the returns will be spectacular... but not for a long time yet. This is a share for a long term investment, for those that have vision of where this is all going. Sick of hearing these fly-by night traders rattle on about how this is dying etc. ITS BARELY EVEN BEGUN! PATIENCE!!!!

Yes i agree with that nothing wrong with their approach so far, just from a personal point of view someone like Adele (28 million twitter followers) would be a lot more interesting, I've got an Oculus myself so thinking like a fan of the app as well as an investor I guess. All good though the future is rosy!

Agree with you ScamCap I have tried to do the same previously but with the hundreds of thousands of viewers we're talking about it is not our job! Agree there needs to be a social media person employed to get the message across explicitly to every single person that shows the vaguest interest beyond the infantile... direct them to the IOS app and the Oculus Go. This is why I want them to choose a more mature and talented artist for the next live gig as I think the fans of such an artist will have a bit more about them both financially and in the grey matter department to think about going out and investing in a headset.

Shame most of the people on there are brain dead teenage girls totally missing the point screaming "love you liam my world so proud of you love you bunny bun my knickers are dripping wet for you etc etc" however out of over half a million views there's surely got to be at least a good few thousand more enlightened folk who actually think: "hang on a minute I can get one of these VR headsets and actually stand on stage next to my idol liam and then maybe i could do the same for niall and then what about the One D reunion..." and so they go out and get a headset for the Melody app. The more we do these live gigs the more the Melody name will spread and people will start to see it's not just a one off novelty event it is an entirely new way of seeing your favourite artist. This is all great free exposure as ive said before these boys know what theyre doing even if the market doesnt!

Maybe that is the reason the RNS was so ambiguous: "Following the launch, the product may also be made available on other platforms". I found the use of the word "may" very odd. Perhaps that is hinting that if the launch of the new Melody app is a success (user numbers wise) facebook will be making a takeover bid? If Facebook deem the app is not as successful as they would like then that's when the NDA will end and will allow us to be released on other platforms?

China. Yes let's think about that. And Japan. And South Korea. Shall we wait until we are available in those three territories and then we can come back and have a sensible discussion about user numbers? I am salivating at the prospect!

1) The only figures that actually matter will be the % of people who buy an Oculus and then subsequently try the app and then buy anything off it. There would be no way of knowing that right now. Actual user numbers are still bound to be relatively low as the app is available in so few territories and on such few devices. This is just the start PATIENCE.

2) The vast majority of reviews outside the territory and broadband speed issues are overwhelmingly positive so that 3 star rating will soon be 4 or 5 once the apps availability is opened up (hence only 365 reviews currently - thats one review for each day of the last year you've wasted your breath on this planet).

3) Whatever the cost was (£100m was mooted at the start I'm sure) the point is they are keeping us close for a reason. They need content to sell their headsets and we are one of the only apps with the wow factor to do this and they know it. Why else are they throwing money at us?

1) Matchett has already said he's got little interest in the current share price - he's not going to release adoption numbers willy nilly just as a patsy to pansy private investors like yourself. He'll do it when the time is right - probably end of year financials in a month or so.

2) The vast majority of review ratings are from people currently unable to access the app in territories not supported by the app or with poor broadband speeds.

3) Get one thing straight it does - hence why it funded our £100 million advertising campaign in the US and made us centre stage and why it's agreed to fund the development of our new app for the Quest.

Pipe down Smith and stop embarrassing yourself! Plenty of us on here been saying the Facebook NDA was the reason why the company was progressing the way it was and you continually failed to listen and continually espoused your negative spin to the story. You've just been exposed as the clueless dolt you are!

Think most of the rises today were due to no reason other than a general uplift in the markets looking strongly like the worst of it is over might start seeing a few shorts getting twitchy from here forward....
