RE: Alexei's Sale - RNS 28th Jan6 Mar 2021 01:00
Mikestroud. I must admit I have pondered the AC situation through and do think it's why the SP is where it is today.
My conclusion is whatever the reason for the 'sale', I expect it was for his benefit rather than concerns about the company or FSP. Yep, it's entirely possible the explanation was genuine and he needed the dosh. He may have even owed the dosh, however I consider that unlikely given he'll have earned plenty given his roles over the years, but never say never.
The amount involved should rule out the possibility of owt sniffy going on, it makes zero sense. If it was that and the BOD know the same info as he does then they could have just flogged this for 20p per share. Jack sugar us shareholders could do but they would all have decent cash on the hip at the end of it all. Plus LTHs couldn't complain too much.
It feels like a tax thing to me. I expect there might have been a few cross words about it but ultimately he probably stayed within the parameters so AC was within his rights to do what he wanted, albeit with disapproval. Perhaps the conversation considered the short term impact on the share price but they thought 'so what'; and how do you RNS 'someone knows something about a share that they are going to pay loads of tax on' during an FSP with NDAs?
It took me a while but I'm comfortable with the AC sale and think it was positive thing, not sure the market thinks the same but it doesn't think about this share as much as us on here do. GLA.
