If that’s true Whichever way this case goes the resulting SP movement will be substantial !!!

Yeah saw it, looks like he was over stepping his remit.

Is it me of is the SP moving in line with the court case evidence / testimony?

Not enjoyable watching so far tbh they appear to be justifieing their cash flow through q1 & q2 2020 by comparing with corporate peers, which all looks believable. I hope our rebuttal is stout and pretty conclusive.

I think it’s a serious subliminal drag for Cine me that this case rumbles on, I really hope it comes to a positive conclusion for us….once this happens I feel very confident that we really can look forward to a SP recovery, of course if it goes against us we had better hold tight.

Hope everyone is well on this odd day for our SP, I would have expected a pretty firm price but seems to be as soft as the rest of the market.

PW - that’s what I’d hoped, bring a bit of lightness to our investment chat xxx apparently cineplex ceo next, I’ve tuned out for a bit.

PW - I think the point our guy was making was that cineplex renegotiated many leases totalling many millions of $’ without cineworlds approval as per the agreement, same for the rights to the development land worth 20m $’ that was swapped for a 6 month rent holiday, again without cineworld approval…..that’s my take anyway, may have got the wrong end of the stick.

The cineplex guy is not a pleasant human, if he’s deemed “worthy” and a value add to the cineplex case I’m encouraged.

It’s court and anything can happen, still got everything crossed.

PW - it’s pretty much like pulling teeth, the cineplex cfo was much better today, obviously had a chance to refresh himself and suddenly “remember” their narrative. Our guy made OK progress and managed to create some doubt over his recollection of the facts, I’d call in a dull nil nil draw on a cold wet Tuesday night at a second division club.

In the end it’s upto the judge I was hoping for a knockout fact to be thrown or some devastating email, alas it didn’t come….some came very close but nothing black and white. CFO is complete now and not sure who’s next.

I’m still fully crossed up.

PW I’m approaching 50% and feel sick.

I’ve watched day 1 & 3, I couldn’t agree more regarding the sentiments of each counsellor’ approach, after yesterday testimony and the forced admission that they breached the contract and that it wasn’t anything to do with covid I’d hope common sense would break out and an agreement be reached, as I was discussing with Wellington earlier it’s probably wishful thinking because of professional reputation / ego etc it’s all in the judges hands, joining you with the crossed fingers and toes.

I’m really hoping that we win this case or at least don’t lose, it turn out that the case was the secret reason for the poor sp performance and it recovers upon conclusion. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it’s hell for now though.

Wellington - much appreciated. I tend to agree, when you factor ego & professional reputation into the equation a pragmatic face saving and somewhat symbolic settlement is the most likely outcome, I hope. Thanks again.

Brocher, I agree, it’s getting super interesting. They are throwing that poor woman “under the bus” in an attempt to down play their behaviour. Poor !

Agreed, our guy gave the witness no room at all but to confirm the breaches. I don’t know why the case continues tbh.

Daddy_c & Bonkers, the thrust of today’s action has been centred around the first quarter of 2020, first our guy established that covid was yet to have an impact on trading (tick, established) second that there were clear guidelines as to what cineplex could and couldn’t do with regards to the covenant and thirdly that the cineplex breached them, two examples given and proved so far. They are on a break atm. Very interesting stuff, our guy is boring as sin….until he gets to an important bit and he becomes animated and somewhat interesting.

PW, yes I agree that’s what our guy is driving at, the cfo freaked out several times. Especially when he accidentally said “we had no idea” as to the future impact of you know what.

I think we can all agree that we are lucky to have bright scientific minds advising us, such as Nicky Minaj, when people are making decisions based on a tweet from an entertainer we truly are living in reverse world.
