RE: The City is 'toxic' for tech companies, says Deliveroo investor14 Jan 2022 16:17
DT is currently has 699,211,795 shares giving it a market cap of £3.1b. In the last fiscal year it turned over $281.3m. Now that was to 30th June 21. So at £7.50 a share (meeting you half way) that would give the company a market cap of £5.25bn. I will compare DT to Avast with a market cap of £6.26bn. Avast has a 12 month turnover up to June 21 of £931m. So to answer my your question and in my own personal view. No. Not yet but possibly in 12 months when DT doubles its turnover/profit. Enjoy the weekend Charles.
I agree Lord. At the November valuation the share price was around $348 with todays price at $204.45 and with the weak ex rate it could be less than 5% Was just adding that the actual share holdings had increased not decreased.
I have 2 lists for the complete holdings. In March 21 and Nov 21 Moderna was the following. March 21 6,808,129 shares Value - £646,271,403 Nov 21 8,905,373 shares Value £2,377,391,300 As far as I understand it the % is not the amount of shares but more the market value against the whole portfolio. Hence Moderna market value is 10% of the 20B trust value.
Trader I agree always thought they should have sold Modena down. Remember reading an article where James Anderson said he had been trying to Invest in Moderna for years. I still hold SMT and the only concerns I have is too much Healthcare but it’s been a solid performer for years so will stick with it. As for your comments re Nasdaq. Again I agree there will be a correction though don’t think the “Faangs” will have to worry too much. Huge cash piles and constantly churning cash over.
At IPO main shareholders were allocated Angela Bacares - 80,724,000 Mike Lynch - 30,761,750 Sushivan Hussain - 16,839,500 Peter Menell - 10,994,750 Vanessa Colomar - 7,155,000 Andrew Kanter - 5,928,000
RE: Shorting issue is just a smoke screen12 Jan 2022 11:47
Excellent post Mumbo. No surprise that the share price started to fall when MM came out and said he may look at spinning off the beauty business. Absolute disaster of a statement it. The share was at its peak and has tanked ever since. He should have come out and said in hindsight that was a bad idea and there will be no change in the business model.

Charles you are at again. You are using childish terminology on an adult forum. You are also once again trying to hype broker reports that were generated by companies with an agenda to ramp the price up. As has been mentioned on here many many times. PH has so far been vilified with their price. Hopefully in the next 2 years DT will reach £8 again. Stop for the love of god posting absolute nonsense and the same old same old junk. The forum has just started to get going again you ruined it last time try not to do the same again.
Ijgs the peel hunt report and valuation was on the same level as the Berenberg valuation. No surprise Berenberg who are a paid associate of DT released a buy report after the OH one. As said on here many times by many others don’t believe broker reports they all have an agenda. I have said and will stand but my view in DT. It is a good company with a solid chance of long term growth. There are worse companies to invest your money in.
Charles you keep using school yard terms such as FUD. This is a grown ups forum so act accordingly. As for the PH debacle as you called it. I see their valuation has so far been vilified. You however do not understand the difference between brokers that are paid by a business and declare high valuations. Then there the independent ones that seem to value the business correctly. The only way is up. Hopefully. But probably a long long way from £10
RE: what ITs do you hold currently?11 Jan 2022 10:56
After a restructuring of the portfolio sold off around 5 investment trusts to invest in some singular stocks. Obviously still hold SMT but have added JCGI & EWI in the last 2 days after the sell offs.
They are crazy times at the moment. I sold a few of my holdings and reduced SMT. Totally bonkers I know but then moved the money into MSFT, GOOGL, FB and Apple. They may well take a big hit in the next month but the strength of the balance sheet will hopefully save them.
Why do you keep using trading indicators to make it look like you know what you are talking about. You’ve constantly ramping the £10 forecasts. Which clearly indicate through the daily Moving Averages. You are clueless and have no idea what you are talking about.
Sanchez - Skank can be found in the Collins English Dictionary 2008 edition on page 253. If 5 year olds are reading the Collins English Dictionary this country has a great future ahead of it.
There has to be a correction in some of the Tech stocks soon. After Tuesdays drop in US Tech I took the opportunity to invest in MSFT, GOOGL, AAPL & FB. If my money isn’t safe in them then forget DT we are all doomed.
This share was never a £10 share hype dragged it to those dizzy heights. Best to be in now than 3 months ago. I just feel sorry for all those that lost a lot of money being dragged in by the nonsense valuations being constantly ramped on these boards. There was a group led by 2 members who constantly hyped DT and jumped on any well written negative articles. Charles I am starting to worry about you. If you are still believing those valuations by the PAID ASSOCIATES of DT then you could end up being a very poor man.
Apparently those comments in the Times warrants Charles ramping a 1050/1300 predictions by 2 business connected to DT. If you thought ML was dodgy those valuations are even worse.
