I agree Lending I do expect that they will at some point start a new Buy back program. This will have a timescale that these are traded in, and as you said they have been allowed a lot of shares to have a go at.
I was only asking Charles were he got that they will start buy back after March 3rd. It is clearly not fact it is an assumption but is mentioned daily as being fact. It is the same as someone stating all lockup periods will end 3rd March and there could be anything up to 500,000,000 shares that will flood the market.
This wont happen but the more someone says it the more others start to believe it.

The buy back program had an RNS which is a legal requirement from Darktrace. That RNS clearly states it ends on the 31st December 21.
So we shall stick to the FACTS which clearly show the buy back program has been completed as stated in the Company RNS on 6th December.

As you replied Charles I will give you the respect and remove filter for a reply.
Interesting that you say the Buy Back Program can restart from the 3rd March. Where were you able to get that information from because the only RNS we have received regarding Buy back clearly states only up to 31st December 21

Darktrace plc announces Share Buyback Programme of up to 4 million Shares



Darktrace plc (DARK.L) ("Darktrace" or the "Company"), a global leader in cyber security AI, today announced that, beginning on or about 7 December 2021, it will commence a share buyback programme (the "Programme") of up to 4 million of its ordinary shares (the "Shares") to be completed on or before 31 December 2021

A lot of green boxes today and not many others posting. Did some work on the Buy Back as I wanted to see where they had got to on buying up to the 4m that they proposed to buy not exceeding £30m before 31st December. With no RNS letting us know the total wanted to see how many they hoovered up.
So they bought on 17 days a total of 2,470,678shares with a value of £10,163,830.28 average price £4.1138.
At the current rate they are already £1,807,997.28 down but as they are to quote
"The Programme, the purpose of which is to satisfy, in part, Darktrace's pre-existing obligations arising from its share incentive programmes or for other purposes as permitted under applicable law, will be conducted within the limitations of the authority granted to the Board of Directors of Darktrace plc by its shareholders at its Annual General Meeting held on 24 November 2021, pursuant to which the maximum number of shares that can be bought back by Darktrace is 69,763,690."

So basically they have spunked £10m of profit up the wall for their own gain.

Got a few green posts I can only assume with this good news Charles is ramping the £10 broker valuation.

Great news retaining customers is just as important as gaining new ones. The more that company grows the more income will be coming through.

Going to throw a positive just found that Mirae Asset (South Korea) through the Global X arm purchased 6,177,154 shares in DT in the past couple of months for their Global X Cybersecurity ETF.

NewKOTB I hope that is the case but for a buyer to obtain double didgit percentage in DT they will struggle do that with the approximate 33% of free float available.

The Market across al sectors is absolute mental at the moment. NVIDIA posted some brilliant numbers last night beating expectations comfortably, but is still showing lower in pre market.
If you like Darktrace now is indeed a great time to start a position or lower your average. I am happy with my holding for now and the only thing that would concern me is if the original investors and those gifted shares at IPO now around 67% decided to start selling. That could happen anytime.

Not really they already own a significant amount in the business. Would have preferred a Baillie & Gifford. L&G, Blackrock someone of that ilk who would be a new investor. A bit suspect for my liking especially with Angela Bacares selling around the same time.

Sheltie best to ignore pantspulldown if he is highlighting KKR as a reference to II's buying in. KKR held 47,634,250 at IPO from being an original investor and along with KKR, Summit and Balderton Capital in October sold 25m shares this was after all 3 along with Hoxton Ventures, sold 23m in August.
Not really a great example of an II's investing in a company. Still waiting on all the new ones Charles promised us.

Exactly Ndn71. A few of us have tried to highlight that DT is also getting hurt from a changing market G to V. Which for those that believe in this company it gives an excellent buying opportunity at these current prices.
Nobody knows when that will swing back to growth hopefully before the end of this year. £5 this year would be a good start.

Sheltie you are wasting your breath. The £10 share is the last thing they have left to hold onto. Like you I believe DT will turn the corner and expect/hope it reaches £5 within the next 4 months.
£10 a share and comparisons to US companies is all they have. A great way to research a business I will give them that.
