Avocet I totally agree with. you I travel regularly The planes are always full, passengers spending in airports. and on flights as if. there is no tomorrow. If they really want a house te will somehow find the. cash.
I understand, but I bought. many years ago at an average of 330, so it is hard to sell now. We. still have the same management. team with. years of. experience so I trust them . If you look at the top ten holdings the fund is in some of the. worlds best. companies and having live and worked in S E Asia I believe it will be the fastest. growing economy in the. world. The. people have a real work ethic - and are ambitious to improve their. personal. situations far more. so than in other. continents. I which I have lived.
True- but let·s be optimistic - the. fund has 40% in total. in South Korea and Australia , both with. strong and growing economies plus. 20% in China . which will surely be growing again soon.
If CLOs interest you, I would recommend BGLF (or the. sterling version BGLP). Latest. monthly. report shows. NAV increasingly. 1.5% and they recently increased their. dividend. target. to. 8 to 9 Euros. They consistently receive more. cash. than they pay. out and. put the rest into reinvestment. and buy backs. I. would. def. recommend and. I believe. our. fellow CLO investor Damalfi like. it, too
I think it is partly due to slightly warmer weather - but for sure there will be more. cold. weather, we are still online January. Also, when China. finally moves into full production there will be greater. demand. Do we know. what I3e·s cost of production is . for LNG?
Robleo, I have to challenge. your belief. that we are in unprecedented times.I have been investing since 1982. In the late eighties and early nineties. interest rates. were. 12% ( I temporarily switched out of. shares to earn 14% in building society. accounts). We came through it.We will again. The. Uk ia a very consumerist society. We "must" have our. houses, cars, holidays etc. I do not. like that. type of. society personally but it. keeps. the. economy moving and enables businesses to thrive. Good luck.
Archie . You did not address. your. query to me but in case. you are interested I also hold BGLP which is in CLOs and yields about 11% . I have held it for 5 years and always pays. except for one payment. at the beginning of. Covid. I also hold TFIF which is about. 20% in CLOs and yields about. 7 1/2%. Other high yielders. you ma y like are. HFEL PHNX RGL MNG.
Hi Damalfi. Manythanks. your. opinion. I have this morning sold out of MPLF - there·s just too much uncertainty. Sold at a substantial loss of. course. Looking at reinvestment, whilst I intend . to put more into NESF. for long term income I also. compared TORO. with BGLP. What worried me about TORO was the. share. graph over 5 years, a fall of. about. 35%? (although this was mainly at the beginning of. Covid) With BGLP. a fall of. about. 8%
. . . Does. that. concern . you? Kind regards
