In the late eighties and early nineties. interest rates. were. 12% ( I temporarily switched out of. shares to earn 14% in building society. accounts). We came through it.We will again. The. Uk ia a very consumerist society.We "must" have our. houses, cars, holidays etc. I do not. like that. type of. society personally but it. keeps. the. economy moving and enables businesses to thrive. Looking at reinvestment, whilst I intend . to put more into NESF. for long term income I also. compared TORO. with BGLP. What worried me about TORO was the. share. graph over 5 years, a fall of. about. 35%? (although this was mainly at the beginning of. Covid) With BGLP. a fall of. about. 8%
