Hi Damofari, It·s a shame that they are. winding down. with the. dividends at this level. I am increasingly interested in Volta, I have a few and I am intrigued that whilst BGLF, FAIR, TORO pay about. 14% - and MPLF 17%, VTA pay only. about. 10.5%. However, all of their. reports indicate that all is. going. well, and presumably they are also producing. about. 14% but are reinvesting. the. difference between. 14% and. 10.5% .
The. fact that. they pay 10.5% makes me feel it is a dividend they can maintain even in the. event of hard. times, e.g. a financial. crisis.
Anyway, it is always good to read. your. comments as you are one of the specialists. re CLO. funds!
The demand for energy storage in the UK is, according to an independent. report, forecast. to grow. threefold in the next. 5 years and GSF is one of the market leaders. Selling now is just short termism. The. company have 66 m. cash and although the dividend is not yet. covered they anticipate it will be. covered within the next 12 months and the cash balance gives one. some. comfort.
There seems to be some. waffle about the increased capacity but noting to justify. a selloff . It is well diversified and I will be. holding for the long term and. dividends
Those. are the. Realisati0n. shares not the. current. Fair Oaks. 21 shares
I share your optimism Damofari, I am now in Fair, Toro, MPLF and. Vtas as well as BGLF . I was expecting sone info from BGLF this month re pos. return of. capital.
Good luck fo. 2024
If you are an income investor this is a good buy - there is no dividend in the ftse more. secure than this. I travel a lot and am continually surprised just hw many still smoke. I was in Morocco last week and the ratio is 1 in 4 males. smoke - and. most appear to be young, so the likelihood is that. they they will continue. to smoke. In Greece. it is 1 in 2 males - then. think of. India, China, Russia, Africa - a whole lot of. smokers there.
I ALWAYS receive my divs on. the actual payment. date so it must be your. broker. I used to deal with online . brokers. but. found I spent too much time. and phone calls. chasing dividends. Now I. deal with traditional brokers but. execution only and I have no problems
A slight u pliftin the. VTAS dividend. for January, which must indicate that it is in good. shape. Thankyou all for. advising there is no withholding tax
Fellow investors, don·t give up on
Damofari, forgive. contacting yo on the. FAIR page but would like to know if. you know if there is a withholding tax on the. Volta Finance. dividends as it s also quoted in the. Amsterdam. exchange.
Can an existing shareholder please advuise if there is a Netherkands. withholding tax deducted. from the. dividends?
I agree Fregatr. I have. held. since. the. launch and. I regard JLEN it as a "solid" investment and. am aboutton add a few more. held
HFEl is, unfortunately, my largest holding. The only. consolation, otherthan the. dividend, is that thedirectors. have. fairly large. holdings. and. so their interests are aligned. with. mine .
There is aninteresting letter from the. chairman posted on ADVFN. They believe. their. strategy is appropiate and that. they can maintain a rising yield.
I think it is. now mainly the high interest rates . When they start to fall we will see a recovery, not just in this sector but generally as most. companies. operate. with. debt
Good analysis, Clued. I agree - a. compny like BATSwill have prepared for "worst case. scenarios". Ijustbwish they would. diversify further - some years ago they owned Eagle Star Insurance, Walkers . Crisps. and others.
I should have. added that the. company has recently been given a four years continuation vote . That surely is a. vote of. confidence. for the. future.
If battery technology improves GSF will (have to) improve. with it The problem is the. market, not (in most cases) the. companies. Look at other sectors, they are. all suffering to a similar extent. I regard. LGEN as one of. the UK·s finest -
companies but look where the price is,
When we hae some positive evidence that interest rates will fall, I feel that will be the catalyst for a rebound throughout the. market. I have purchased a further 3750 GSF as I strongly believe in it.
Don·t worry, just be patient. The. FTSE is hopeless at present. This. company (as many others) appear. to be doing everything right. for a prosperous. future, there is an increasing demand for
I agree itis very disappointing but I invested for the income to meet my living. costs. If HFEL went under I woud have. severe economic. difficuties like not being able to. pay my rent. I do not wish to sell as I bought. at about 33 a few years. ago. I am sure there. are many like me..
