Once the. dividend is covered (end 2024 according. to results) and interest rates. decrease a little then we. will see a steady but not dramatic price. rise. "When there is blood in the. streets it is time to buy"
There is already a demand for battery storage. This. and others. also have. diverse income streams. GSF is also international with projects/operations in. the USA and elsewhere.
Thankyou Damofari. I did ( ( attempt to) read them but confess that half way through I was. "skimming" through it looking for important. words like "dividend"!
Today I have bought a few MPLF - expected to pay next month
If the ban was only in the UK it would not make much difference. to BAT·s profits, but the danger is that it may spread. to other. developed countries which sell at. high prices. The. emerging markets will always. be there. but the selling price s are lower than in Europe and the. USA.
Hi Damofari. Many thanks your lucid (as always) opinions. In fact I am so impressed I may now change my mind re. TORO and VTA.
My earlier lack of enthusiasm .for them was because they appeared to be "minnows" compared with FAIR and BGLF and appeared to have little liquidity.
The VTA. div is only 8% of NAV but because the. share price is at a 25% approx. discount. to the NAV this brings the actual yield to. about 10%. Am I correct?
Damofari, I have a large position in BGLP and. will, at least at first, await proceeds fromthe redemptions. rather than sell the shares at a big loss, but am wondering where to put the proceeds . I will definitely increase my FAIR holding slightly. I already. have a small position in MPLF which I might increase. I also have. TFIF which has CLOs, so that leaves TORO and VTA., but. I cannot somehow become. enthusiasticover the last two.
As an income investor I have 8 1/2 % of my portfolio in PHNX. I have never had to regret that decision but I wander ifother income investors. would like. to. reveal the. percentage of their portfolio in PHNX. Just for the record I have a similar amount in LNG and, unfortunately (only unfortunatere the. sharteprice) HFEL. . Also MNG
It3s the uncovered dividend and also hgh interest rates.
CEO syas. dividend will be. covered by end 2024
Was there any indication of support. for. higher dividends?
Guitarsolo. HFEL has. significant revenue. reserves and the. dividend is in no danger. at all. Asian companies are, in general, much more. dividend. conscious than I Europe or the. USA . e.g. Ping An. the. main investor in. HSBC epitomises the. attitude of Asian. investors. However I'm concerned about t he falling NAV because. the. fund has investments in some excellent. companies but I suppose. almost every market in S E. Asia takes its cue from China and when the. Chinese. economy is in full swing. again we will see some improvement. Well here·s hoping.
Actuary, I will be very happy if there is future dividend growth but. hw do you think. the can be. achieved as I thought SEQI·s investments were at fixed rate -or - are they. variable? Grateful. for your. clarification .
Broomtree, I struggle . to think . off. what might. reduce further. the. asset values - there is no recession. interest rates and inflation will gradually recede and employees are. returning or have returned. to their offices. Given a little time, the. recent inflation. should help to obtain hgher rents and increase asset value. . I am a little concerned about. occupancy but. they are . very slowly increasing and I believe they use vacant periods to renovate/update . their properties. Management. are very experienced and so long term I think this is at least. a good. income investment.
We just have to be patient. The world needs oil- Iraq/KDR. has it. They . will sell it. We will receive. dividends. If. GKP continues to grow it's production and profits here s a good chance. the. SP. will move. uowards.I . .
Sometimes we over analyse - my advise is. hold he. shares wait. and. see. .
It is not just. Shared - 10.5 is the. consents opinion - an average. of all broker/analysts. forecasts. Take a look at Market Screener, go to. financials and you will see the same . forecast. there. Basically they seem to be expecting a small special div or. top up un addition to the. September. div already announced Hope. the helps,

That is true - but the. Far East is a long term project S E Asia. GDPs are rising faster than in the. west. The. S E Asians have a great. work. ethic, and have aspirations. to improve their lot. They can produce quality goods. at much lower . prices than the. West. I have several years. personal experience. In Indonesia, Malaysia Singapore. and. I. now have. abut. 15 years. invested. in HFEL: I will. just enjoy the . dividends the. fund is invested in good. companies and - long term- I have every. confidence.
Twenty Four are. THE. specialists in Fixed Income and I have total confluence in their management of th e. situation. Even though bond prices. have fallen. dramatically - the income will still come in - and the. bond prices. will recover - as always. They have stated in their. latest report. that they. are. concentrating on. bonds. from. very defensive. companies,
