I was never quite sure whether the two supers were in competition with each other. If they were, then i tend to agree that this deal worked out the best for us (it appears we pay nothing except from production revenues... which could be classed as a farm in?), and there will be no second announcement.

Otoh, if the 2 majors were not competing......

Given we now need $65k a month over and above our base running costs, how many barrels does that indicate we must be producing?

A rough stab to me says about 1300bopd, assuming 500 barrrrels covers costs (source: Mole, i think)

Looking at those numbers that way, it looks to me like we made one payment of $265k, and their naked shorting allowed us to renegotiate lower initial monthly payments but keep the overall amount the same.

Absolutely not OTB, total amount before was 3,250,000, the restructure brings it to 2,975,000 ish, but that doesnt include anything we have already paid, so I think overall payment amount stays the same

You wont like it, but....

I suspect the team were only too happy to drop the naked shorting charges, 'cos I'm not sure now that we paid YA per plan.

"Significant increases in personnel" while dealing with the SMs, "Niko may be delayed while they investigate"....all that would have had a negative effect on our cashflow, and the new terms mean we only have $65k outgoing per month rather than $265k.

Yes, a good outcome overall, but possibly a lucky one too?

Overall payment amount looks to be about the same, but with a heavier back end loading
