If you are assuming 10% annual compound growth in the share price (and your post is unclear) that would equate to a SP of £5.70 in 10 years and circa £9 after 15 years- along way aways from you 10 bagger, let alone your 20 bagger.

I think you need to adjust your blue sky assumptions to the real world. No one is going to take a 15 year view on Seal-G and the Chinese will be all over copying it, and will sell for much less. Thats the world we live in.

You also need to check length of any patent protection in the US which is the largest potential market.

Insitutional shareholders will take £3.20 - £3.50 and the share structure is very accomodating for this to happen.

It will attact trade buyers (most likely US) with a marketing network in place to cross -sell/market and of course PE.

They key for me is managements willingness to sell, as they can make life difficult for a potential suitor.

How much did they pay you for this drivel?

Its a great product but its not without competition/alternatives and AMS does not have the global sales/distribution network to push it.

Given the shareholder profile, a bid north of £3.20 (perhaps a little higher) in my view will be welcomed with open arms.

I think most have moved on from here having made a decent return - you are correct PUSU deadline 11th June.

£2.50 and always a possibility of a rival bid, albeit slim - but risk/return is not attractive even given potential 34 pence or circa 15% upside from here to £2.50p.

Totally agree Datron - the Board have no desire to sell this company unless a realistic bid emerges at a substantial premium. That should be clear from past history.

I would also caution everyone to take the village idiot (Kjn2) with a very large dose of salts despite the wonderful belly laughs he serves up to all and sundry.

He is a paid poster, who posts under multiple alias's and never has a personal position in any of the stocks he posts on.

Look at his comment "Board needs to run a sale auction" - its probably the dumbest comment you will ever hear. If you own a valuable asset, buyers come to you, you don't need to advertise a wish to create an auction as all that does is signal a distressed sale.

The biggest hurdle here ( and it is a big one) is the Boards reluctance to sell this company and that makes a deal very difficult unless a blockbuster offer is delivered.

I hope not given the "spike " to which you refer, is not exactly magnificent! I hope that an offer on the table as you say would created a much greater share price spike.

evotec is being restructured , it has a valuable asset in just-evotec (biologics arm)

whilst there is clear pe interest in cdmo's, it remains a difficult sector and the changing big pharma funding models and the rise of the chinese has added to this.

consensus broker forecasts are in the €8-€9 range. suitor interest might lift this to circa €12

Danger-Mouse - I think you are being overly sensitive, perhaps understandble given the circumstances.

I have been investing, probably before you were in nappies but have taken a long hiatus from posting here and on other boards due to their general disintegration into farce.

To answer your specific question - I was asked by Datron if I fancied AMS to which I explained that it looked interesting but that my focus was on Evotec SE and given the number of potential buyout opportunities within the small/mid cap space that they had to be ranked as to how I saw things, which may or maynot be proven correct.

I hold shares in Gama and have been recently been buying CFD's which is always a sign of confidence as shares usually gap down through stops if a deal goes cold.

Holding shares is a realtively safe position, in that even if a bid does not materialise I see Gama as being undervalued on fundamentals so eventually valued will be unlocked.

Lastly I do not subscribe to you or anyone advising how others should allocate their portfolio's nor speaking on their behalf.

Another intetresting situation - I would like a stronger bid premium in the price, but its there is currently a huge amount of activity around small/ mid caps due to valuation gaps as all the money has chased tech.

I am more focused on Evotec SE which I beleive will become a target, so far more upside. Its almost more a question of ranking multiple potentail takeover situtions and right now AMS does not rank high enough (for me) but I will watch closely and jump in if that changes. Good luck to you.

I would not expect any updates whilst the PUSU is underway as this could cause the very thing that PUSU is designed avoid - share price volatility.

There is also no such thing as a preliminary bid and the PUSU periods are 28 days as are the extensions (if sanctioned by the Panel) . Deadlines of 2/3/4 weeks do not exist.

Looks a very interesting prospect although one never knows - probably need a bid around the £13.50 mark in my view to get it recommended and accepted but we shall see.

Given the headwinds the current business model faces it would seem to me that a trade sale (not a spin-off, to say PE) of Just-Evotec would be the most plausible way to unlock value .

If they dont want SPI at £2.50 then the only purpose of the shenanigans is to flush out a higher bid which is quite likely given the value in SPI which makes it worth > £3

Mediclinic are going to roll into Newco. No way they would close door on a £2.30 opening bid from Bridgepoint to then accept £2.50 a few nonths later with improving operating conditions. They will carve it up with Tosca and others and do very nicely.
