The clowns turn up whereever a share is doing well and the company has potential to become very successful. Its a shame if we lose respected posters and we need to ignore the derampers. The ill informed are welcome if they are buying or intend to buy as they help the share rise and the more they learn the more they can contribute. Even private chat boards are susceptible to idiots joining. Hopefully a blue day today to keep momentum going.

Fair point Bellers. With SXX it was always a concern as to where the money was going to come from to develop the underground mining and transport system and port area. Fortunately I only traded the share and walked away with a small profit. I know a lot of PI's lost a lot of money. I am a LTH here as it would seem all aspects including on going finance are covered....as much as they can be. For me it is as de-risked as an AIM share can be. Hopefully NOT famous last words!!

Not only that Paddy all the signs are there that Newcrest are going to mine and Haverion is one of their main targets with a) the amount of gold indicated so far and b) the Telfer processing plant being so near. Jobs are all being advertised for and the camp developed to accommodate the workers. NC are not going to walk away.

Regarding Rio and Biswas, his name must be in the frame ((probably one of the favourites) and if he were to takeover at Rio, Newcrest must be a target for an acquisition in due course given he knows it so well. Others will certainly will be interested in the NC assets.

Finally for those concerned at the slight drop in price they should remember that 121m shares were bought by a banks at 27p and other large buys most likely II's went through at the same price. They will not expect to make a loss!

Apart from the £33m GDXJ trade there were a number of smaller but still large and significant trades at 27p. I see no reason why the open on Monday should not be 27p.

Jerry.. thats what the MM's were doing all day buying as cheaply as they could manipulate to sell after markets close which apparently is the rule. Blame the MM's and the buying rules that apply not GDXJ.

SP may open at 27p but there will be sellers in the morning which will drop the price but I doubt it will go below 25p before it starts to climb again. II's will start to look seriously at the Newcrest/Greatland JV and decide if the future profit is worth investing in and I am sure will arrive at the conclusion it is! Have GDXJ bought all the shares they need. I can't remember how many they needed. How the MM's got that number of shares together is beyond me. How many are borrowed I wonder? Not many stop losses being used I would think so plenty of scope to borrow.

Staggering given that we haven't produced anything? £1b on potential and inferred asset and I believe if Haverion is one of NC's main assets it could easily get to £2b. Newcrest MC £15b+ so as a major asset £2b must be achievable I would think. No way can the sizeable sells declared after hours be genuine sells unless the MM's are filling or expecting to fill a very large order. The price would have dropped accordingly with such large sells when in fact the opposite happened indicating they were earmarked to be bought.

Yes volume is low. Most of the private investors have had their fill and many have started to bail out having made a substantial profit and most of the rest will do at 20p if we reach that value. Many of the buys have been for small amounts. Institutional investors are needed now to really move the shareprice on. Substantial news is now required. Depends on how long you are prepared to wait. 3-6 months and this could be 25p-30p if not more. 12 months and who knows... buy out or JV mining or other licence areas in JV's and this could be a share that just keeps rising.

Share price is holding up well considering the selling is approx 2:1 against buying. Something is holding this up. Buyer in the background as yet undisclosed I wonder!

Found it 250 shares for £43.75 so yes very small but not as small as some we see going through!

Can anyone see how big the trade was at 17.5p. Must have been small to pay so much above Ask!
