I think we will see action in Uruguay first. I can see some sort of joint venture with IMC to restart production.

The proposed sale of mining concessions only cover the san Gregorio area in Uruguay. What about the rest of the 1,800 sq km area? Will omi retain control?

But they’ve not sold the processing plant.....yet. There’s still value there in Uruguay apparently. Potential gold that will need to be extracted and processed.

Interesting move selling the exploration and mining permits. Someone still sees value there. I can see a partnership down the road. Orosur still have the processing plant.

I think that if nem were going to drop omi, they would do it ASAP and not take it to the wire with the $0.7m payment to cover the shortfall of their $1m first year commitment.

If NEM did not intend to cough up the $0.7m would they wait until the 7th to inform omi?

There could be another extension on the forest protection order. Maybe omi are angling for another $0.7m extra payment next year?

However, I can’t see it as a major issue. Why on earth would they grant licenses if they did not want to allow some mining in some form.

The going concern status should be removed now I’d imagine.

Orosur has received from Newmont Mining the first of four half yearly US$500,000 cash payments as part of the previously announced Exploration Agreement with Venture Option for the Anzá project, as well as US$240,000 to fund the property maintenance costs in Colombia during the first 6 months of the exploration period.

I expect the concession applications were sought in early july when Newmont advanced the initial $250k funding. So we're well into 7 months. Can't be much longer given Newmont clout and the new business friendly govt.
